Everything was great. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and the staff was extremely attentive. This was the shell by Tanger outlet mall, my truck was apparently scheduled to be picked up at another location, but I was accommodated at this location without any problem, and then UHaul contacted me to ask about the two trucks being scheduled and canceled the one without an issue. It was no problem, everything charged to my card accurately and the whole thing worked out. :-)

The young guy there did not know how U-Haul works. I entered drivers license and paid in full before we got there. He said nothing was entered as if I was just walking in to rent for the first time. When I told him I already entered everything, he decided he did not want to serve me any more. I had to get the manager instead and within 2 minutes it was all set but I had already been there for 30 minutes.

We attempted to drop the truck off after the location had closed. It was not clear where the truck should be parked, and the whole U-Haul part of the gas station was unlit and dark. We could not get the U-Haul online drop off process to work on our phones, so we had to leave the key with the cashier at the gas station. The U-Haul guy called the next day to let us know they got the truck and all was well. But the U-Haul after-hours drop off process needs some serious help--it is very frustrating and not usable as it currently stands.
Made reservation way in advance didn't have my trailer flew from another state wasted my time also had to drive 100 miles to pick up my trailer 100 mile back to my storage did not offer any pro rates. was not the right size trailer whole experience was bullshit

Called me the night before to tell me there was no car trailer available for a reservation I had several months prior. Then I was asked to drive 4 hours to pick up the trailer and was going to be charged $300 more dollars to get a trailer at a location far away when I had it reserved with the truck in one location. It got worse, I can explain over the phone if needed. I've rented multiple times before and good service. This experience was the absolute worse ever and I'll be going to Penske for future rentals. Lost my business for sure. Uhaul mistake and I'm asked to pay more fir the same equipment I rented and had to drive 3 hours to pick up trailer. I had to use the uhaul truck to do this so. Was out even more gas money just to pick up a trailer that was supposed to be on location from my reservation. Wow, just wow.

This has nothing to do with the pickup location but I had reserved a 26' Uhaul & it was cancelled due to lack of availability. I think every effort should be made to meet the reservation & in this case I should have been offered a discount on another Uhaul as I am having to rent again.

Excellent customer service. Truck was clean and ready to go. We were in and out within 10 min! Fastest UHaul service ever!
Train the staff at the gas station on the basics of the equipment. I.e., hydrolic brakes, the size and tow capacity requirements, fuses to control the lighting, etc. I had to replace lights and get things functional 10 hours into the trip from Lincoln City, Oregon to Clarksville, TN via Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons because of an associate for Uhaul lying about lighting.
Jesse & associates are always friendly and give the gold standard in customer service. I have come in last min and after hours and the guys never frown or gripe; always smiling and make me feel important and well taken care of. The guy who rented me the trailer was fine. I was supposed to drop the rented trailer off at this location also. When I tried to return it, I have never been treated so rudely. the attendant used foul language and told me he was not taking the trailer & I needed to contact U-haul. No offer to help me just rudeness. I asked for his manager to report him & ask for help and he stood there arguing with me calling me a liar while I was trying to explain the problem to his manager.
I wanted to drop off the Dolly so I could unload the truck. I called multiple times with no answer, over two days. I finally had to drive down there to talk to someone - he told me he was off the last two days and the other guy PUTS THE PHONE ON SILENT. VERY FRUSTRATING. Then I had to have the truck back by 7am SAT, and they don't open till 10:00. I asked the guy and he said I could drop it by anytime and give the keys to the guy in the Shell station. I dropped it off Friday about 7PM and they didn't check it in and I got charged for another day. I'm disputing the charge, but it's just one more little frustration you don't need when moving.
There was no employee on site who knew much about UHaul. Plus, I was 20 minutes late and was charge for an entire extra day.
They called me to let us know that we left keys in the truck and the person was very helpful.
Vehicle was very damaged - we reached photo max as not not fully clean. Mobile app did not explain well why waiting- just processing for extended period- unsure if system was not working while we waited
