This is not a comment about the location. It's a comment about U-Haulâ€˜s reservation system: I reserved the truck at a location close to me but upon calling ahead of time i was informed that there was no such truck to rent there. They ended up finding the truck I needed at a location much further away. but had I not called ahead of time I would've arrived the morning of the rental and have been out of luck. That is just not acceptable.
This was a truly horrible experience. The short version of the story is that there were several instances of me being told that equipment was available, only to learn later on that it was not. In the end, the trip ended up taking 6 hours longer, and costing me about $200 more than my original reservation. The Details: I reserved a 26' truck and auto trailer to move my parents from LA to Phoenix. I traveled 400 miles to get to LA, only to be receive a message that â€œUHaul is unable to accommodate my move todayâ€. Apparently, no trucks were available within 50 miles of LA. So I was stuck trying to contact other rental truck company that wouldn't charge $4,000 for a same day, one way rental truck. After calling back a couple hours later to reserve a round trip rental (which would've required driving the empty truck back to LA, and taking a plane back to Phoenix) I was told that a one way truck was available downtown, but my auto trailer was not available. I found a Uhaul location that had a trailer and reserved it with a scheduling rep from Uhaul corporate. When I called the location that evening, the rep apologized and told me that there was no trailer there for me, and that the location hasn't had any for over two weeks, so he wasn't sure why someone reserved it. He told me that he had much a lot of smaller trailers (auto dolly's?) that I could use. This was a less desirable solution, but before I agreed, I asked him how could I know for certain that I wouldn't show up and be told that there are no auto trailers in their inventory. After looking further, he said that they don't actually have any of those either. After expressing my disbelief, I was told that there was one trailer, about 15 miles away that someone didn't pick up before closing. He also told me that I should arrive before the location opened or he can't guarantee that they wouldn't give away the trailer that I reserved with my credit card. I got there early enough to get a trailer, and about 45 minutes after we departed, the AC in the truck went out. After all of the extra driving around that I did, I was still charged an extra $13 for going over on mileage. Uhaul has a lot of work to do to address the holes in their reservation and scheduling system if they want to earn my business again. As a Process Improvement Specialist, I welcome the opportunity to speak to anyone at Uhaul to help address the issues that contributed to my negative experience.

This person is so Rude Racist offensive He doesn't want to rent my friend a cargo Van just Because my card decline one week ago I am a loyal U-Haul customer for 10 year renting every week I will go to another car rental which I was my friends fault just because is my friends I don't think U-Haul have trained this horrible person this way If you don't have time to do your job please don't do it as costumer Is not my problem to have that kind of horrible experience I feel so frustrated

I said I didn't want insurance and they charged me for it anyways. The man who runs this place is rude and clearly scams people, I moved the truck down the block and back and somehow got charged for 4 miles
Help clarify where to get the keys once arriving and using mobile pick up
I thought I rented the van for 19.95 a day. I used it for 6 hours, drove it approximately 40 miles, paid the 25 dollar insurance fee, rented a dolly and the bill was $125.00. I was expecting half that...so I most likely will be looking elsewhere next time. The guys at Downtown Globe were great, your "bait and switch" pricing was not.

Seller seemed annoyed that I did not get the $25 insurance for the trailer and when he attached the trailer to my truck he did not screw that knob and the trailer was loose. It seemed like if he did it on purpose just because I didn't get an insurance.

Service is poor, and the gay there is very rud, I wont recomend this location to Any one , Gas was less than the paper estated when I get back with the truck he wanted me to fill the tank where he said, I refuse because I take a Picture of the original amount it Was . He is a very desonest person.

Didn't have the uhaul store just a pick up location
Location does not offer 24/7 pickup as advertised online and also did not have the equipment that I reserved. Cost several hours of waiting and ended up needing to do 2 trips with the smaller equipment. I had even called the day before and UHaul confirmed everything. Terrible communication.
The manager stated that they do not open before 8am, which is different than what the Uhaul website markets. This should be rectified.
