During the return of our rental, the employee who checked us in had an unprofessional and argumentative attitude regarding the gas level. We were accused of being dishonest about fueling the truck before returning it, despite clearly refueling and returning it at the same level we received it. The truck’s gauge read 3/4 full when we picked it up, even though the paperwork stated 7/8 full. Before returning the vehicle, we put in $12 worth (about 3.5 gallons) of gas to ensure it was returned at or above the level we received it. After a brief exchange, the employee said, “Everything looks good, we’ll just bypass the gas issue,” which only reinforced our feeling that we were being unfairly questioned. The tone and implication that we were lying left a very negative impression. If asked about this location, I will be honest about our experience and recommend others proceed with caution.
