Although the rental itself was a good experience, my daughter arrived the week before the rental and had the ball installed on the bumper. The employee that installed the ball was very rude to my daughter. I don’t appreciate that.

Hi, I reserved a 10' one-way U-Haul from Lynchburg to Charlottesville online and when I arrived to the location there was not a truck available for a one-way rental. So, my only option was to rent a 15' truck and spend extra money for the mileage PLUS had to drive it ALL the way back to Lynchburg. In dealing with moving out my deceased grandmother unexpectedly, this was the LAST problem I wanted to deal with on top of everything else, plus was not the way I needed to be spending my time. The employee working at the time was all alone and was not friendly or helpful in problem solving at all. They were understaffed as there was a line 10 people deep behind us and I can only imagine what their experiences were like... I am passing along this information as it was a very frustrating experience and I hope this will be changed for customers in the future, or DO NOT offer an online reservation, which was confirmed. The check-in person was awesome and very customer service orientated. However when returning the person checking in the truck acted like it was a lot for him to check over the truck. He wasn't very pleasant and seemed not happy to be in his job. Made for an unpleasant experience as a customer. ??

Didnt have car trailer that was on contract. Stuck me with a trailer that rear hooks were bent. Then called me and said i never dropped trailer off. I told them to too check again but came to find out the rep never changed the contract to the trailer that i was using because he was in too much in a hurry to get off work. I will follow up with managers tommorrow to make sure that this is handled. Will use another renter in the near future.

I was over charged for a vehicle with incorrect mileage. I brought this up to the person who checked me in, he explained it would be fixed. However 4 days later nothing and no return calls and can’t get customer service on phone. Drove 31 miles billed for 168 and charged 90$ for a van when it was only suppose to be 19$

Benjamin the manager is great. One of his employees did not install the trailer correctly the first time leaving chains exposed to the road. Ben fixed it. Overall great experi ence.

When We called to make our original reservation for the storage unit the customer service lady booked us for a unit that was not available. We wanted a 10x10 space. When we arrived at the Timberlake Rd office they informed us they did not have one for us. They said that this happens frequently. This was very upsetting to us. We were offered two smaller units. This was going to be more costly than we were planning. We also bought two locks. Even though we fit everything in the one 5x8 unit you really need to inform them of their mistake. This was the main Uhaul customer service representative not the Timberlake office that made the error. Thank you

Even after the quick check-in process online, the employees took 30 minutes to provide us with the rental vehicle while our 4 hour time was running (after waiting in line for 15 minutes without a word from all three working employees helping either one or no customers). Inefficient. The rental time should begin after actually given access to what is being rented. Also, after being provided the vehicle, the gas tank was well below half full, which was much less than what all the paperwork assured and required us to refuel after our use.

The worker had no clue how to hook up the trailer. It was ridiculous. Since we have trailer camped for 20 years we knew what to do. Your workers need some more instruction or common sense!!!!!!!

When I picked up on Wednesday quick service, gentleman very nice and van clean. When I delivered back to U-Haul. I waited in drop off site and no one came. Had to go into building to drop off. Tehy were short handed only one person handling the service desk . This was during lunch time.

You need more than two people working on a busy, college moving weekend. The two who were there were trying, but just not enough help. Check the college schedules. Also, when you RESERVE a 20' truck, have a 20' truck available. Getting a 26' truck into an apartment complex parking lot would be difficult for the most experienced drivers.

Not enough staff. Very busy with customers waiting long periods of time (40 mins) . Staff professional trying to do their best. Customers frustrated and not happy. Van was perfect. Will use different location next time.

No improvements needed. You were friendly. Reservations were easy to make. Pick up of our rental was smoothe and easy. Return of rental was pleasant and easy. Cost of rental was good and fair. Great experience.

Cooperate messed up my reservation after calling SEVERAL times to ensure I had everything I needed. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress on me and those helping me move as well as affected us financially. The manager at this location helped after the mix up, but cooperate still messed up my entire moving plans based on one phone call. This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed. Cooperate needs to have a list of what units/trucks are available at each location! With a company as big as uhaul, this should not be a problem.

We had a problem with the truck. After we left the facility and arrived at our home, we started loading. An alarm went off in the body of the truck. I tried to call the number on the contract. After about 6 minutes of waiting with the hold music playing, I gave up. We finished loading with it beeping and decided to keep going. When we stepped on the brakes, it would stop and then when we released the brakes, it would start again. I called the number again as we travelled. By the time we got someone on the phone, it was close to 10 minutes; she put us on hold and tried to call Roadside Assistance. After 5 minutes or so on hold, she came back to us and said that Roadside Assistance was not open yet. Really!!! What if we were broken down on the road. Anyway, she said she put notes in our file that they would give us a discount. As we traveled, we went back by the shop and stood in line for a second time that day. When I finally got to the counter, the guy had no idea about the alarm. Since we had already wasted a ton of time, we just decided to keep going since we weren't going many miles. We managed to finish up; they gave us $25 off and we were finished. You need more help in the store on Saturdays and Roadside Assistance should always be open and people at the call center should answer the phone in less than 2 minutes!
