Van had dirty interior..cigarette butts, etc. Windshield dirty..difficult to clear with windshield wipers and fluid. Mgr was professional, but should have checked vehicle before turning over keys to me. Next time I will be inspecting before taking keys. This was my third rental. I use this location since it is in walking distance from home. Use for business pick up of clothing ... Need clean van to pick up merchandise.

We picked up our truck and when we got to our house to start loading we opened the back and it smelled awful. Similar to sewage or rotten vegetables. There was a dried up spill that looked like it could have been the culprit. I don't think the uhaul employees checked it because there was a Moving dolly in the back that we didn't rent that must have been there from the last people. The front tires looked low too. If we weren't on such a strict time line we would have brought it back. Very, very disappointed with the quality of our rental.

The person (Douglas) who checked me in never asked me to do a walk around. He looked like he had been sleeping and hardly spoke to me. He just handed me the keys. There were A few dead Leaves in the truck which I swept out before picking up my furniture. Also the gas gage was lower than what was on the sheet when I checked in. After using the truck to move a table from pottery barn I returned it that evening. the next day I got a charge for both a cleaning (which was fraudulent seeing the truck was cleaner than when I picked it up) and a fuel charge even though I refueled the tank to the Exact amount moments before returning the truck. I also took a picture of gas gauge to prove it. Super sketchy operation . When I called customer service they told me I had to come down to the store and talk with a manager. Why offer a customer service if you're just going to send me directly to the store in person?

when i picked up the location was understaffed. the same when i dropped off. Both times i waited 30 minutes plus. when picking up the manager was putting away supplies, never even said hello, can i help you. Just not the way to run a business. and when i dropped off the poor girl behind the counter was friendly, and was apologetic, but totally overwhelmed. I rent here as it is convenient to my location, but there are many things that need to be addressed. the truck i rented was dirty, and had eggs in the front seat.

Returning in Yonkers NY, was not a good experience only if you know how to drive around, most of the highways said no Truckers only cars passengers, GPS didn't help either, not a good idea to return on Yonkers.

Back up of customers at pick up and delivery. Had to wait about 10 min for attention, wasn't a problem but wondered if things were moving as fast as possible. Pick up had only one attendant, drop off had two. Thankfully one asked if someone was there for a return so I didn't have to wait for the line of customers first.

My reserved truck was not available - this was the fault of the person using the truck, who did not return it. But there was a lot of confusion dealing with getting another truck at a location in Lynn, MA. We were told there was a truck in Salem, but when we got to Lynn, we were told it was not available - and then it was available. The employees in both Salem and Lynn were very good, but the call center confused the process. Also the truck ending seemed to be malfunctioning, making strange noises, needs maintenance.

I checked in the night before so I could be on the road to work on time. I arrived 7 minutes before 7 and the door was open so I went in. When the staff member saw me she said I had to leave because the store wouldn't be open till 7. At 7 am she invited me in. The computer kept glitching according to the staff member. So it took 20 minutes of trying to pay the fee. I didn't pull away until 7:25 am. When I climbed into the cargo van there was dog hair on the seats and some brown sticky thing on the passenger seat. The back of the van had gravel and looked wet. Being so late to get on the road for work I just drove off. If I had more time I would have gone back in and asked for a cleaner van. There were half a dozen little empty trash bags in the cab but that was the only thing that appeared to have been done to the vehicle after the previous renter had it. I swept the cargo area before using it but much of the rice and pebbles were stuck in the grooves of the liner. Not sure I would use this site again. My friend recommended Salem MA Uhaul but it's 7-10 minutes out of my way to work. I think it would be worth my time to try that site next time. Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience.
