Firstly, you have a hidden “facility charge” for using this location. Total bullshit which is not indicated when reservation was made. Next, you get me to pay for extra insurance with the idea that there would be no out of pocket costs if there was an accident and then only when you get to the facility is it revealed that there is a $150 deductible! So you basically suckered me out of a total of $27 ($15 insurance and $12 facility charge) through deceitful methods!

It would have been nice not to wait so long to check in when I arrived to pick up the cargo van rental. (There were several people in line ahead of me, and two servers; I stood for 10-15 minutes waiting.) The Ford Transit cargo van itself was great, other than they need more soundproofing inside. Too loud in the cabin on the highway at 65 mph.

I just feel like the fees Uhual gets you with are misleading and WAY TO high. It not an issue with this specific location. Its a company issue. The day long rental for 20.00 signs throughout your establishment frustrate me especially since it ends up being about $80. I know its a marketing tool but It just makes the company look sketchy.

Vehicle had mechanical issues, despite having a warning alert at time of pick, Uhaul representative left claiming his shift was over before I could switch the vehicle. customer service at pick up was not polite. Customer service at return was very smooth.

My original pickup location has been changed to a different one without totifying me. After taking a cab ride to the new location we’ve spent an hour in front of the building just to find out that it was closed. Funny enough, the truck was parked outside, but we couldn’t get the keys from some sketchy mail place. After spending 40 minutes on hold with customer service, it turned out that there were NO trucks available in the entire borough of Brooklyn, so we had to go to a third location in manhattan to pick up the truck. This wasted a lot of valuable time and money. The clerk at the third location was very nice and apologetic about the system not working correctly which resulted in another 30 minutes wasted standing by the counter. I was just happy to get the damn truck and get on with my move. In all reality my U-Haul experience was a waste of time and money, I’ve spent close to 70$ on cab rides going from one place to another and lost a lot of time as well. When I reserve a truck a week in advance, I expect it to be at the proper location, it’s not a hard thing to accommodate, after all I’m giving you money for THAT service. I’m fully expecting U-Haul company to disregard this review, but hopefully this company falls under the rare category which makes things right. Thank you

I saw some negative comments about this location that I don't understand. Customer service from every employee was great. Everything went better than expected. They were very accommodating when I called prior to my return time to request an extension. Would recommend and use again.

Initial counter person was very officious, not friendly. Signage clearly marks equipment return area but not pick up area. Final cost much more than expected. Was not sent copy of final bill.

I did not get a walk around the vehicle when truck was driven out of the garage. The tire pressure reading was signaling. We brought the truck back immediately after pulling off, only to be told “it’s ok”. When returning the truck, no one attended us in the garage, prompting me to go to the store front and ask for help. Then, the employees in the garage were rude, unporofessional, and accused me of getting a scratch on the vehicle. Although I’d taken photos of many dents and dings on the vehicle without markings, I was being told that I was responsible for something that I hadn’t done. This was an awful experience, and I cannot recommed this location at all!

This was my first time using a UHaul. I was very overwhelmed and would’ve liked someone to explained how the basics worked.... should I buy rope, best way to use the furniture pads, etc. Also, the mobile pick up did not work. If it’s not convenient, please say so ahead of time.

I had a reservation for pick up Saturday at 12;00PM at 444 west 10th and at 11:45Pm the night before I was told the truck was only available in Yonkers even though I was guaranteed a truck from my booking at $100.00 Booking reference is 27411438 we then had to do a round trip because only a round trip truck was available. I was extremely inconvenienced by this. Please refund us for our purchase. We got fined almost $500 by our building and had to bring the truck back to manhattan which took hours with traffic

There are few options in NYC. If there were more I would not recommend this site. Counter representative was not very friendly . I felt I was at the DMV. She acted as “yeah, this is your only choice, so I don’t have to be nice.” Then, we had to wait 50 minutes for our truck!!! They only have one elevator working! I should be reimbursed the rental rate for having to wait so long.

Uhaul’s online checkin process is horrible. I had to fill in my information 3 times (including sending drivers license photos twice) but when I arrived I had to do it all again. They said it’s a limitation of NYC locations - someone should put a notice on the website to say “this location does not allow online check in”.

Well, first of all did not get any updates regarding my reservation via emails. Secondly, a representative contacted me a short time after i made the reservation confirming the date and location. When the day came, i took the trip to the original pickup spot i confirmed with the representative just to find out there was no available truck. Later, was sent to a further location which i had to take Uber to. I lost around 2 hours of my reservation and the staff did not offer an extension. I am totally dissapointed from your service abd i doubt ill use it again hoestly.
