We needed a extra day with the truck I called uhaul and the person said it would cost 40.00 extra. I get to uhaul in Marana and they charge me 15.00 extra for the insurance I purchased when I picked up the truck. I was not aware of this and I was not told this by anyone. They called it a safety fee. I told them I was not on the road so the charge does not apply. I was charged the safety fee. Not a good way to do business.

Frequently rent equipment from Uhaul. A+ service at the Tucson northwest / Marana frontage Rd location. By far the best. Usually wait time is 1/2 the time of the other nearby location ..not to mention other location nearby the I've had extremely rude customer service on many occasions in the past.

The workers were very friendly here. All went well except for the actual check out. Apparently their system was being updated and so my credit card had to be swiped several times to complete payment. Which is always a bit scary. The young man who worked with me on my transaction was Jeffery A. He was very kind. Very helpful, thorough and knowledgeable. I would rent from here again.

The inability for this store and Uhaul reservations to communicate with one another leads to a terrible customer experience. Each can blame the other, acting as separate entities, which makes getting the truth impossible. Over the course of 36 hours Uhaul reservations called me several times to change the day, time, and location of my truck pick-up. Went from 26' truck to 20, then another call trying to change it to a 17'. Went from a Friday afternoon pick-up to a Saturday morning, then tried to go back to Friday evening, then tried going to Saturday afternoon. Each time Uhaul changed my day/time/location I had to call my help and get them to change their plans. The store called to confirm my puck-up telling me I had a 1-way; I said I don't want a 1-way, I reserved pick-up and drop-off at the same location. The store transferred me to Uhual reservations to 'fix' the problem. I was told by Uhual reservations that the store is wrong and that a 1-way rental to the same city means you can drop off at any store in the city, even the store you pick-up from if it was in the same city. I showed up to the store Saturday morning and I was told their was no way I could return the truck to them and that was "the way it was". The manager told me he ran the store and if I had a problem with that he just wouldn't rent me the truck. Bottom line - always us a difficult company. New slogan - "Uhual: never again!"

I rented a U-Haul on Thur and then again on Sunday. My Thursday experience was fantastic and the gentleman that helped me was very kind and respectful. He explained everything inside and then when we walked out to hook up the trailer and again explained everything and at the end proceed to do a light check. He made sure that I didn't have any questions at all. Very much appreciated his attitude. When I returned the trailer on Friday again greeted with a smile and respect and kindness. I asked where would you like this trailer at he said lets just pull it in to the same spot. No problem at all. He proceded with his check and gave me the ok that everything looked good. When I went in on Sunday to get my trailer the guy that helped me was no wear near as nice and helpful. Seemed like they crew didn't want to be there. I sat down in the chair as I was very tired and in stead of helping me where I was at the computer I was at they made me move to where the guy in the back was sitting. I was like OK? Again we walked out and did the same thing as the first employee. Only this time when we went to check my lights he kept saying turn your lights on. Doing the exact same thing that we did on thursday. Finally he hollers at me to wiggle my light switch. I am in a pretty new truck that the light switch does not wiggle. He was rude. On Monday when I came back it was the same Sunday crew. So when I am pulling in to Uhall on Sunday I thought I would be doing the something as Thur. As I am pulling in the crew of 2 guys and a girl were standing in the spot I needed to pull it in to and one guy was giving the girl a neck massage and not once as I sat there did they stop and acknowledge that I was waiting. So I got out of my truck and asked if they could move to I could place the trailer where it was originally. They asked me to place it under the big awning that was there so they could check it out and once again they were asking me to turn on my lights which were already on. They were all again rude with me and again asking me to turn on my lights that were already on. By that time I was already frustrated and told them I was going to make a complaint the one guy informed me that they don't have bad reviews. Thursday review - EXCELLENT Sunday/Monday review - Horrible.

Josh Varela and his team were outstanding. I had no idea this would be such a pleasurable experience. Moving is hard and Josh made the vehicle portion great. The truck was brand new and everything worked better than I thought given the extreme heat of AZ summers.

We made the equipment arrangements at the Ina and Thornedale location and picked up the equip mentioned at the Frontage Rd location. Service at the Ina Rd location was excellent and this location deserves recogniton for their sales and service. The Frontage Rd location was under staffed and it took about 90 minutes to do the paperwork and pick up the equipment. Most of that time was waiting in line. Once it was our turn the process of picking up the truck was quick and easy. Staff was curteous even though they were under staffed.

Hello, My name is Keith Storms and I would like to detail my recent U-Haul experience. This is in reference to contract number 86550257. I rented a 10’ GMC truck and a 12X6 enclosed trailer for 4 days totaling $654.45 invoice. Experience: To ensure that I was able to receive the desired above listed equipment needed, I called and placed a reservation approximately two weeks prior to pick up. At that time, I was advised that the two U-Haul locations that are near my residence did not have what I needed and I was told that I had to pick up the equipment at a location across town (45-minute drive from my residence). I then called 24 hours prior to pick up (06/12/2017) to finalize and ensure that my order would be ready the morning of pick up. I was then told that the location near my residence, would have all the equipment that I needed for pick up on 06/13/2017. I wanted to pick the equipment up at 0700 hours, however I was told that I should be there at 0730 hours to allow the employees enough time to have my equipment ready to go as soon as I arrived. I arrived at 4040 W. Ina Road at approximately 0740 hours on 06/13/2017 and met with approximately 5 employees standing behind the front desk. I provided them with my name and reservation number. After waiting for approximately 15 minutes, I was told that they had absolutely no equipment there for me and that the two 12X6 enclosed trailers that they had on property had flat tires and that I needed to go to a different U-Haul location. We had a brief discussion about how I was under the impression that making a reservation and arriving later than I wanted on pick up day was supposed to allow the employees time to gather the equipment. I’m not certain on how U-Haul at that location does business, but if I knew (as a business supervisor) there was going to be a pick up first thing the next morning, I would ensure that it was ready the night prior. If that was not the case and I arrived to U-Haul as a supervisor or employee and noticed two flat tires on my only trailers and knew we had a reservation, I would work to get them repaired prior to the customer’s arrival, especially if there are 5 employees standing around. If all else failed, I would contact the customer (me) to advise them of the situation. Bottom line, employees arrived at 0700 hours and did nothing until I got there at 0740 hours. They should have checked and had all equipment ready for me the moment I walked in the door. I was ultimately advised that they would contact the U-Haul location I was headed to advised them to have equipment ready for me at that location. I then traveled to a different U-Haul location located at 7701 I10 Frontage. I then explained everything that happened to an employee there. After waiting another 15 minutes. I was told they were not contacted by their other store, and they had no equipment to give to me and told me I was “out of luck.” I explained everything over again to the supervisor that

Big and Clear signage that direct you with your return. No long waiting. Staff come out quickly and give clear instructions and it's over 110 degrees outside. Lots of space to turn around. Overall excellent customer service and great set up.
