Dear U-Haul Customer Service, I am writing to formally dispute the final charges applied to my recent rental under Contract #3980308. After reviewing both my original equipment contract and the final receipt sent to me, there are multiple discrepancies that require immediate correction: 1. Incorrect Fuel Charge The vehicle was dispatched to me at approximately 1/4 tank of fuel, as shown on my original contract. I returned the vehicle with the same fuel level (1/4 tank), in full compliance with U-Haul policy. Despite this, I was charged a fuel adjustment fee of $34.00, which is incorrect and unjustified. 2. Coverage Charge Discrepancy My original contract clearly shows that I selected coverage at a rate of $15.00. However, my final receipt reflects a coverage charge of $30.00, which is double the agreed amount and was never authorized by me. 3. Billing Overcharge My estimated total at the time of rental was $55.85, yet my final total increased to $80.44 without valid justification. These additional charges are inconsistent with the signed agreement. Based on the documentation, I am requesting the following: - Immediate removal of the $34.00 fuel charge - Correction of the coverage charge from $30.00 to $15.00 - A full refund of all overcharged amounts I have attached both my original contract and final receipt for your review, which clearly demonstrate these discrepancies. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I am prepared to escalate this dispute further, including contacting my financial institution to dispute the charges.
