My receipt says I drove a total of 35 miles. I have another receipt from the gas station across the street for just under 5 gallons of gas. When I returned the truck I was charged for 4 gallons of gas. So you are stating you rented a truck that got LESS than 4 mpg that or you excessively charged me for gas. Which one? The longest it idled was in your parking lot waiting in line to be returned. Very unsatisfied.Andrew P.

My rental & the service I received was very good. However, while I was in the store waiting to check in, another service representative was helping a customer on the phone but was using the speakerphone function. Everything word of the conversation was broadcast loud enough for myself & the other 2 customers to hear. Although no credit card or social security card information was said, it is still troubling that I'm sure that customer had no idea that their conversation was being heard by the entire store.John B.

Do not rush thru the process. Don't assume & don't bs your customers. You can have the friendliest, most polite & courteous employees but if they RUSH & select things before confirming w/customer ESPECIALLY when 90% was already answered, selected & done online (2nd use within 3 weeks but different charges?) PER online reservations PRIOR to showing up? Or when returning truck an hour later getting charged $152.00 for less than 8 miles on a $29 rental bc you didn't have anything smaller avail? 2 weekends prior I had NONE of these issues. Only issue was dolly was not in rental so I had to go all the way back to location, (STILL CHARGED THE XTRA MILAGE TO RETURN & DOLLY FEE) but everything else went just fine. No over charges, no hassles, nothing. Tried calling local ofc I rented from as well as spoke to 800 cust rep from 324PM on when the ADDITIONAL charges were placed on my card AFTER THEY ALREADY GOT THE $100 & WERE TOLD NOT TO USE THAT CARD I HAD OTHER FORMS OF PAYMENT (BOTH WHEN I GOT THERE N FOUND OUT ABOUT $100 CHARGE & WHEN ALL WAS SUPPOSEDLY WORKED OUT, I WAS TOLD ID BE SENT A RECEIPT & DONE & LEFT). I no sooner arrived at home & that same card was charged an additional $52!?!?? And was told upon calling the store is open til 7pm & store manager is there & online & will call to discuss &/or explain & nothing. Tried calling several more times between 4pm & 7pm to NO AVAIL.Crystal L.
Contacting U-Haul via telephone is painful. Expect long waiting times 20-30+ minutes hanging on the phone. Best to just GO to the U-Haul location. Using the U-Haul website to make my rental reservation was equally frustrating. First attempt, the web site stopped responding after 15-minutes of my loading the required information. Second attempt; same result. I ended up with TWO reservations and TWO confirmation numbers even before the process was completed. I gave up and drove six miles to get things right with the helpful U-Haul store employee. Time wasted using phone & website options. The frustration with such unhelpful phone & tech customer service takes years off a life and makes for unhappy customers. In the 21st Century, totally unacceptable.Patrick H.

The day we dropped off the trailer was not a stellar start. The staff was more concerned with leaving or helping other customers. I paid for the service to get the car secured to the tow & was not informed that there would be an additional charge for unloading at my destination. Not a big deal but the way the vehicle had to be loaded, it was necessary to get assistance with unloading. Checking vehicle clearance should really be part of vehicle pre-check.Julia K.

The vehicle was returned with 3/4 tank of gas but the agent said the line was of the wrong side of the 3/4 mark and charged me for 2 gal of gas this is a rip off. It is pretty sad if this is what your company has to resort to make your money, The drivers side door did not close properly and I was told that a lot of the trucks are that way.Daniel Z.

I rented an appliance dolly and a truck. I got home and opened the truck and had NO appliance dolly. The staff was apologetic and credited the mileage and gas for me to go back and pick it up. Now I just received my invoice and was additionally charged for a utility dolly I did not use. Next time you should to make less mistakes and not waste so much of your customers time.HEATHER M.
