Was told when I picked up my truck I had to pay a extra $100 for a deposite because I paid in cash but I would get it back when I dropped off the truck were I was going but when I dropped it off was told they don't have cash and they would send a check in the mail in 5 to 10 daysJames J.

Truck has a bald right front tire, tires out of balance, allignment pathetic. No cruise control, steering wheel adjust or cigarette lighter to charge phone. Worst driving vehicle ever. Do better for customers on long drives.Ken W.
The truck was extremely dirty. There was trash, freshly chewed gum stuck on the floor, and some kind of dried sticky red liquid. The cabin had not been cleaned or wiped down for COVID, had bugs, and smelled bad.JAMES S.

Yes, the location was clean and inviting. The staff was excellent. HOWEVER, I specifically reserved a UHaul location that had packing material and moving blankets (which were part of my original reservation). The day before my pick-up, UHaul changed the location of my pickup. I called UHaul the morning of my pickup to confirm the new location had packing material and furniture blankets. I was promised the location DID have these items. When I arrived, there were NO blankets or moving materials. I had to drive across town to pick up furniture blankets (to the original location I reserved). Huge waste of my time that should have been spent packing a UHaul, not driving across town... The location was great for anyone who only needed a truck. For people who included blankets in their reservation, as I did, I would not recommend this location.Laura T.

A/c wouldn't work. Drove 9 hours from midland to baytown 100 degree heat with my 9 year old pouring sweat. Top that with the radio not working and the 1 1/2" thick bug guts on the windshield from the previous renter. After arriving to the he uhaul appointed drop off location. I was informed that they couldn't take the truck because they couldn't give me a cash deposit back so I had to drive all the way across town to another location. I've moved several times in my life. I was recommended by customer service to pick up my van at Turnkey. I had a very upsetting experience with the first place I made my original reservation. It was located on Wall Street in Midland, TX. The employee was so rude to me, could not explain why my van wasn't ready, and would not listen to me trying to explain that I had a reservation. He kept telling me to call a phone number where they would tell me exactly what he told me. He also said that making a reservation only put me in line - something about bypassing the system. I continued to tell him that I heard what he was saying, but still did not understand why the email said I could pick up the van at 6:00 on March 30th, but that wasn't the case. A few minutes later another customer walked in to return a van and the employee just walked away from me. I am so thankful that customer service recommended TurnKey. Pick up was easy. I was off in no time, and I was still able to make a trip to our storage unit before it was too late. I did have to document quite a few scratches that were not marked by the x sticker.Caryn C.
