The U-haul rep was warm and welcoming, also provide excellent customer service, handled my issue quickly and most efficient, I have been renting U-hauls for yrs to operate my moving business and her interaction was the best experience yet.

I live in Acton and the only location for a 6x12 covered trailer is in brampton. There are locations in Acton Georgetown and Milton, the only place I could get would be brampton more than an hour trip there and back. Absolutely ridiculous. When I was transferred to scheduling I was told that she would call me back in 10 minutes. More than an hour later I had to call them only to be told she tried calling, I did not have any missed calls at all. This whole process was ridiculous and I hated every part of it all. I have never had such bad customer service. This was terrible.

But, I didn't know that there are 2 U Haul locations in Milton. The first location that I went to didn't seem to know this either. The young man helping us didn't know what to do when he couldn't find my reservation. To me, the first thing I would have thought of is the second location.

I originally ordered (reserved 1.5 week in advance) 26' truck and pick from Milton and drop-off in Cambridge. I received a call back and was told that it is not available and offered me 15' with some extra kilometers. Later on i called back and insisted on 26' truck and they were able to find it in Milton, but i had to return it in Milton instead of Cambridge. It costed me extra one hour drive and $25 in gas to pay for Uhaul's mistake and this is not first time. In the end it costed me same as it would have costed me to rent a truck from Milton to Cambridge and i was the one who had to pay and spend extra time for company`s mistake. What a customer service. I was warned by lot of people about this situation, that it is bound to happen with UHaul. thank you so much, Never again.

False promises leading to a poor experience and disappointed customer…. Being in the service industry, I understand the importance of service commitments. I am writing this review to share my recent experience with your organization and the disappointment created from trying to resolve it. This past week I needed to rent a truck with tow dolly to transport items acquired from across the province, like any consumer before signing any contracts or committing to any services, I decided to do some research. I decided use your business because the General Manager of the Oakville, Ontario location, Julie Carreiro explained to me and showed me the best options, she even provided her business card and print out of the estimated travel cost. But upon services rendered the price that I committed to and the price that I was charged, did not match. In trying to resolve this issue, I was instructed to call the Traffic line and provide my contract ID 95992040, which to only have the agent on the phone tell me she’s the service manager and hang up on me, very frustrating! I was then directed to call the customer service line and Shanty informed me that due to the manager not putting notes on the account she was unable to help me…. I have a few questions, how was Julie Carreiro going to make an account for me, if she didn’t have the required equipment at her location; second question as a service manager why wouldn’t she know how to do this? I was finally transferred to a service manager, which I had to explain my situation a fourth time, again very frustrating… she concluded she was unable to help me, I have asked to for the area manager to get in contact with me regarding the issue, I am currently waiting on his response.

The staff and service was excellent. The moving truck was mechanically sound and ran well however the cab was dirty and had a lot of trash in the doors and on the floor. That was the only reason I didn't give this experience rating a 5*

- No walkthrough of the truck which had lots of damages/dints in the body.. we had to call to inform that the side mirror is broken - Was given truck with an empty tank.. I had to go far distance first to get the gas...was extremely inconvenient -I was told that the driver who returned the truck got charged for bringing the truck back with empty tank but yet I as your customer pay the price with no discount given or offered to me for risking a truck with no gas. What if the truck had stopped because of gas in the middle of nowhere? - charges were agreed in Km where as I was charged in Miles - truck ignition was messed up.. had to work it certain way to made it work. - truck was filthy from inside and outside.

Gas level was 1/8, yet contract said 1/4. I had to guess at the amount of gas - should have been full. Chipped front window, cracked right side mirror. Also, when I asked to buy shrink wrap at $9.95 + tax as advertised online, was told that must be corporate and was charged more fore a different kind. Found out $9.95 was available at the other Uhaul site in Milton.

This is for u haul head office ONLY.— Properly communicate time of booking and self dispatching to customers when they call the reservation number, instead of booking a time and the store opening 2 hours later then my reservation. Very poor

Truck had service light on, ABS warning lights would come on randomly, at night, half of dashboard was not lit. Truck was equipped with hitch ball mounted on wrong hole. Could not connect trailer and had to abandon it at old house.
