This is no reflection on the location who rented this vehicle to me. There person who had this truck prior to me was a smoker and the inside of the truck stunk terribly of cigarette smoke. These trucks should be non smoking, you can not imagine sitting in a closed cab that smelled like an ash tray.

My comments have nothing to do with the person working at this site. He was friendly and helpful. Here is my experience: 1. U-Haul internal website and app down. Gentlemen had to take down information by hand. He did so and got me out the door in spite of technical glitches. 2. My truck’s a/c did not fact the fan did not work. 3. Once we loaded and my son followed he said the brake lights and blinkers did not work. 4. While loading I got a call saying I took the wrong truck. I was told that, while it wasn’t my fault, I had to return the truck. Well, it was full of my son’s belongings. So he asked when we could have it back. We hustled and I got it back one hour before I told him we could...all-in-all I rented the truck for 24 hours but had it back in less than 5. 5. When I brought it back the gentlemen told me that there was something wrong with the truck that it could take a different truck’s keys and start. 6. So, I felt like I had done something wrong—though the gentlemen told me it was not my fault which I knew—by taking the ‘wrong’ truck. And most importantly for the safety of those around me as well as mine, the lights did not work...that could have resulted in a serious accident. While the fan and a/c did not work at all, at the end of the day, that does not compare to the light situation. 7. Again, I am not faulting the gentlemen with whom I dealt. I just think it is a major oversight on someone’s part to have a truck go out that is in that kind of condition...let alone it had all kinds of garbage in the cab, though the trailer part was very clean. I hope this has been helpful. I will reiterate one more time that the gentlemen at the store was friendly and helpful and a bit stressed with no internal website or app working. Felt badly for him. I filled up with gas less than a mile from location, $32 dollars worth. I was charged $34 dollars for gas and like it was not full. I intend to get my money back! At a busy time, all I needed was to spend extra time trying not to get outright robbed.

Associate did not know how fix problems with the contract. He switched our truck twice because of computer problems and brushed off questions/concerns about charges. He rushed us thru checkout because he had a line forming. He did not come outside to inspect the truck he just told he to do it and come back if there was a problem. I was expected to get back in line and wait again. He failed to tell me where to find the truck so I had to come back inside again to inquire. His only focus was getting rid of the line that was forming but it should have been take care of each customer one at a time and provide quality customer service.



Couple of good guys, professional, and on top of their equipment. I have used this location, numerous times, and have had consistent experience. Usually, when I have to rent a truck, it is associated with a crappy task, and having consisting at this point, is important to me.

Cassius (sp?) was superb. His moving suggestions and tips were spot on. He treated us like we were his only clients. He was patient, kind and accommodating. James, was also fantastic. We received our equipment on time and as expected. Uhaul should be very happy to have these two men representing them. Their high level of customer service and professionalism is very rare these days.

The only complaint, although very small, was the cigarette smell inside the truck. As a former smoker, it wasn't so bad for me, but my 11 year old son continue to complain about it. Truck worked well, suited my needs, and got all of my stuff down in Myrtle Beach.

I arrived to find the van I reserved unavailable for my use then I was given a larger truck and charged a higher mileage rate. I didn't get what I asked for and then got charged more than I agreed to pay. Won't make this mistake again.

$19 rental turned into $61.00 . Very expensive wont go that route again. Only used 3hrs at the most to just go around the corner
