I dropped vehicle off after hours due to the delay in getting the truck started (it died a second time at my unloading destination). I called UHaul main line and roadside line to leave notes on the account about the vehicle’s issues and how I could not refuel it because that would require me to shut off the engine which would make the truck die immediately. The notes were provided so that the receiving location wouldn’t penalize me for the fuel (having ran the vehicle all day and not filling up). They ended up charging me the full amount to refill the vehicle, did not contact me for any information about my experience or questions about the fuel. No one offered any sort of credit or refund given how poorly the vehicle and experiences were (UHaul corporate said that was a location decision so that’s why I’m putting it here).
