I have never felt compelled to write a negative review until now. The people I had to deal with throughout my ordeal with U-Haul was so atrocious that I’d like to try to steer others away. We had plans of help fall through and my partner and I ended up having to move ourselves ENTIRELY on our own. We needed to extend our rental time - and I was met with nothing but rudeness and grief. I was repeatedly told personal information about another customer who had rented a truck as if it was my fault that there was no replacement for them. I was even told “I hope you understand the frustration of making the next customers move late and pay for movers”. They were catching flack and pushed it down my throat. Tracy, who answers phones in the traffic office allowed me to finish approximately 3 sentences. She was EXTREMELY rude and interrupted me over and over. When I asked to speak to her manager, Hope, she put me on hold and I waited for 45 minutes. I had my partner call from his phone and when he asked for Hope he was transferred to her immediately. I was over charged, I ordered furniture pads online to be with my truck, they were not there and I still haven’t been refunded for them. Laziness, incompetence, unprofessionalism, rudeness. That’s what you’ll find at this location. I’ll never use this location again.

The location and Chris were very good. However I was charged $125.07 additional after the return of the truck. I have been trying unsuccessfully to get it straightened out for 2 weeks with the 1-800 telephone number. I would not rent a u-haul again. My reference # for the case is #1934901.

Location needs more dollies. Directions from the south need to be more clear -- to turn at light BEFORE Toyota dealership, across from Staples. Communication was outstanding otherwise. Service wonderful. I LOVED driving the 10' GMC truck, it drives like a charm! Front desk even shows me the button to press for saving gas. Thank you, UHaul for a great day!!

I was given a return address for 24 hour drop off. When I arrived for the return at midnight, the center was closed. I called uhaul and was given another 24 return location. That location turned to be full and they directed me to a third location for return in the Bronx. The process took me two hours longer than it would have had I the correct information. I called uhaul again to confirm that I would not be charged a different drop-off fee and to request a partial reimbursement for the cost of time I incurred. After three calls to uhaul they apologized that they could not transact a reimbursement but assured me that I would not be charged a different drop-off fee. Now I have been charged a $49 fee. This service is deceptive, unacceptable and needs to be reported to the BBB.

Return phone calls to customers. Ensure a truck is ready when reserved. Be accessible if there is a major problem with a rental. Have furniture pads in stock if reserved. Coordinate with the regional manager if problems occur. If missing furniture pads that were reserved, help customer locate them from another local dealer.
