Do not rent from here.(especially on a Sunday), the owner does not know what he's doing. He kept denying that I had a reservation and refused to let me take the keys that were plainly on the desk, despite me repeatedly showing him the confirmation screen from the app. Only after pleading with him did he have me COME BEHIND THE COUNTER AND USE THE UHAUL POS SYSTEM MYSELF did he agree I was in the system and could take the keys. Then after I left, he changed the amount due to over $800 (it was $200 originally), and altered the drop off location so I was charged another $400 for incorrect drop off. Fortunately the drop off location (West Towne Madison, they are fantastic) understood and helped clear the unnecessary charges. But even that took a phone call and begging with customer support, I'm very lucky the other location helped otherwise I could have been out a lot of money, all because the owner of this location didn't want to deal with a rental. Long story sg, don't rent from here. It was clear some other person does this for the owner most days, and left on his own that particular Sunday he just didn't want to deal with it. Avoid.

RENEE GBefore renting from this location I was directed to Rapids Chicken in Racine to pick up the truck. I was informed the place is open at 10 am. No one was there and the place was closed. I called customer service and spoke with a rep who tried to get me to use the website to see if the truck keys were in an outside box. The website would not work for me so the rep had me proceed to take a picture of the truck. I went to the back of the truck only to find the door frozen shut. There was not way to open it or even the passenger door. The truck had snow all over the windshield. Since this experience at Rapids Chicken was a failure, I was then directed to Ayras Liquor store. The gentleman who helped me get the truck at Ayras Liquor was very nice and made sure I had the 12 pads I requested. I tried using the photo upload feature at Ayras Liquor as directed from the text I received from U-haul but a spinning wheel did not let me proceed to include any photo uploads. The truck was filthy. There were french fries on the dash, a Modelo beer can under the passenger seat, a huge wad of papers in the front seat documenting deliveries the previous renter had done and all kinds of plastic wrap and dirt in the truck from a previous renter. I had to sweep it all out before I loaded the truck.
