have better access for customer to retreive the equipment and by that i mean to not have anything block the equipment from retrieval & inspection. Also when it comes to inspecting the interior. allow to take more then 1 picture to demonstrate how clean/dirty the vechicle is for mobile pick up/drop off. Have options to choose from to describe the cleaninless of the equipment. (ex g. light dust, medium stains, heavy spots/areas) My assigned rental was blocked by a cargo trailer behind, blocked by a cargo van infront and by a brick pillar on one side and cargo box truck on the other side which prevented to take the appropriate images that are required. Later turns out the key that i was instructed to retrieved from the lock box, did not belong the vehicle i was assigned, so therefore the only option i had was to cantact customer service, which then delayed me from my errand. My estimated hold time was 10-15 min. My call was answered 20 min later... all of this for my 1st time experience?? some will say a big NO NO, but i undesrtand not everything is perfect, so i will still return as a customer when in need. Over all, the entire experience was ok.

Thomas MOverall this was not a great experience. I used the U Haul app to check out the truck at the pick up site. The truck was old, with peeled paint, rusted tire rims, damaged door locks, and 150 thousand plus miles on the odometer. Given the tight timeline for my move from North Chicago area to near Houston, Texax, I checked out the truck. After the truck was fully loaded I noticed one of the tires was low. I used the app to get help--a third party company responded to replace the tire. The repair technician mentioned he would not drive a vehicle in this condition cross country. I also suspect the nail in tire came from driving out of the U Haul pick up location since it had debris, dirt, and sfuff everywhere (the piick up location was an automotive repair shop). Once I started the cross country trip early the next morning, I realized the steering wheel had almost a quarter plus turn of extra play making the steering loose and vehicle challenging to control. I went through a few rain/wind storms and it was very difficult to control the vehicle even after reducing speed well below the speed limit. I finally reached my drop off location and used the app to drop off after hours. This will be my last time using U Haul vehciles for moving. The questionable road worthiness of the vehicle and poor maintenance put me and my possesions at risk on this trip.
