I received the email explaining to download app at 1421. My pickup time was at 1300. The process was not explained to me prior to pickup. I arrived early at 1230 surprised Noone was there to greet me. Looking for a number to call, the number was not on the door but on a sign at the road. I made four calls and spoke to many more representatives before I was instructed to download the app and check in online line. One rep hung up on me. One rep put me on hold for 18 min before I hung up. Once I managed getting the key, upon inspection the park brake was bent and difficult to work. The truck needs an alignment it was pulling to the right. The gas tank was only 2/3 full. It took me 1 hour 15 min to leave with the vehicle. I filled it up to full because i wasnt going to leave the next person with less than a full tank. I was charged an extra 53 dollars and some change. It was a series of unfortunate events. I believe it could have been curbed with better assistance on how to retrieve the vehicle with lock box code, ect. To be charged extra at turn in, which was a full day early was just poor customer service. I very rarely leave bad reviews. It was not a good experience.

Tire was very low on air, had to go to another location to get it addressed. Also, mileage allowance was insufficient for the cross country trip, I viewed this as a way for u haul to scam renters.
