This location sustained hurricane damage. The lady is operating the business despite the front door is not working for that day and for another week! She has to hike back to the back door to let every customer inside. They had the equipment we wanted. The lady came outside to take the photo of the hookup and adjusted it which was really nice. If you are renting, go to the back door and knock or call the number. Anyway, U-Haul’s system of reserving the equipment at a location that has what you want is efficient. For them and for us the customers! Very nice. This was especially helpful in this area since rental trailers and trucks are hard to get after a devastating hurricane. Reserve online!

I was charged twice for the truck rental on a debit card and a credit card by the new "in-training" employee. I wanted to split the cost of the mileage fee and rental on two cards, but he charged both my debit card and my credit card for the same amount. In addition, I was charged for 6 day rental, when it was only 5. A call to the 800 # informed me I will hear from someone in 3 business days to discuss the dispute. Then it will take time to process the refund. Lastly, I had to wait 15 minutes before a person picked up my call at the Customer Service line. This is a bad customer service experience on all fronts.

I don’t understand why I was told there would be no gas charge by the attendant and on my receipt I was charged $12.75 for gas on 4 miles worth of travel. There is no way I used 3 gallons of gas in 4 miles. I will not be using UHaul again.

Work on your communication. I provided all the information needed and required and still all my information was incorrect and reservation was incorrect. Very inconvenient. Also asked about any extra coverage or free miles since I knew I would be going over the provided limit and was denied any further information. Young lady seemned to be in wake up mode and seemned to just want to get us out the way.
