Truck was brand new , size was just what i needed, but it was awfully noisie empty or full. It happened to rain the last day I had it and getting in and out of the cab you got a bath from Mom's attic overhang. Service was great and by setting it up online I wasted no time.

I reserved the trailer a week in advance only to find out that it was not available at the facility near by. I had to travel about 25 miles to pick it up. Had I known sooner it would have made planning easier. Or it should have found it's way to the center near me.

The truck was fine, and so were the people. The problem is U-haul's unbelievably slow computer system. It took 20 minutes to type in a few fields at U-haul's offices in Newport, RI.

The regulation regarding the clerk being required to contact acquaintances or friends of the customer in order to rent a vehicle is ridiculous. Nice store, great manager... ridiculous rule that no other major rental brand uses.

The inside window/windshield was dirty especially at night with headlights coming at you. Need to be cleaned between customers.

Great help and information on vehicle and trailer provided. Only wish a truck with “gentle ride suspension” was provided for my trip of 1,600 miles. Overall, quite pleased with Ugaul and equipment! “

The truck was defective though I was told it was ready to be rented, given the keys to a truck whose front was facing me and told I didn’t need to do a “walk around” because I got the insurance. I later found that the lens of the taillight was completely broken and the bulb missing (with round U-Haul stickers with x’s through them all around the damaged area proving it was known) causing me to be pulled over twice by the police until I paid for and had the bulb replaced myself. I notified U-Haul both by phone and in person and was told the General Manager would call me (by 12pm at the latest after the truck was returned on 9/11/2018) before being billed, that never happened and my credit card was billed. No apology for renting defective equipment or for my inconvenience. Terrible customer service in addition to terrible rental equipment. I rent from U-Haul several times a year and have done so for several years but no longer will, there are too many other options now that stand behind what it rents.
