Staff was friendly and helpful, but it took a very long time for the owner to print the agreement, and as it was Christmas Eve we were short on time. The truck itself was mildewy and needed to be cleaned once we got it home to load.
The people at this location that assisted me were extremely helpful and friendly. Although it's not the mot eye pleasing location, they seemed to be honest and fair. Upon return they took the keys and checked me back in as returned. The final bill appears to be accurate.
Such a nice owner...and the van was clean and a joy to drive. Will absolutely rent from this shop again.
Niantic River Transmission was fine. The U-Haul system charged me two full days for a 3 hour rental. The owner attempted all avenues to fix the problem while I was standing there. They said they would try and fix it the following day, as my rental was after U-Haul corporate business hours. I fully believe they did. I was charged an exorbitant rate ($76) for a lousy 3 hours. If you folks actually read these, I believe a partial refund is in order. Again, Niantic River did need seem to be the issue but rather the U-Haul system.
Great that is it local but there are no people around to check in or return. Return online was horrible with it not allowing pictures in the camera roll and wanted new ones which we could not due since all was dropped off.
The truck was clean and the location for me was very convenient. The representative was very friendly and helpful and I'd recommend this location to anyone.

Not enough parking Busy front road
The facility was dingy and poorly manned. Although the truck I rented was reasonably clean, the site was dirty and parking was random and confusing.
24/7 system failed...froze my tail off ....uhaulassistance didnt work either. I'll never use unmanned site again and I'll try another company next time
U Haul was great. This location was not open and did not inform U Haul or the customer. U Haul had to walk me through the pick-up. Great job by them.
The online system of renting is terrible because it does not work. i spent over an hour trying to get the system to work and sat on hold indefinitely. I will not rent from an unmanned Uhaul facility again.
No one answered the phone or returned calls. No one on site - ownership has changed recently and there is no clear management.

Explain the glitch beforehand in entering the mileage upon returning the truck. The app kept saying the ending mileage was lower than it started which was impossible. Three hours after physically returning the truck but being unable to complete it on the app, and after calling several numbers and being transferred and disconnected several times we were told we needed to add a random "0" into the mileage. Who would know that? So for two days we had no idea if we were going to be overcharged or if they thought it wasn't returned. We were given two local numbers and no one ever answered and there was no option to leave a voicemail. Extremely stressful on top of the stress that already comes with moving!
The App did not work for us picking up which made a mess of the return.
I had an excellent experience. They were friendly and professional. I forgot my keys upon return and they made and extra effort to re-open after hours so I could pick them up. Their efforts are much appreciated.
The mobile check in process was terrible. I had to repeat submission for my license, could have provided the backup person's information at reservation had I known that was necessary, and overall it was a pain in the ass because much of the information could have been set up in advance when I made the reservation. Very slow and ate into the time I needed to move things. In addition, I reserved the truck for 6 hours and ended up having to push my reservation time back, but was not given the 6 hour window needed. By the end of the check in process, I had 2 1/2 hours before I had to bring it back. It was appalling and I'm incredibly disappointed in the overall experience, especially for what I paid. I will not be a repeat customer.
I initially was concerned because of the business not being open. i was assured by your representative on the Uhaul Help Line that using a smart phone all would go well. That information was correct. It was called a self dispatch. All went without a hitch. your web site for this event, including the return, worked perfectly. I thank you for your good equipment and efficient delivery process.
