We rented a truck and my husband accidentally locked the keys inside. As we were a couple of miles from the rental location, we thought we could get an extra fob. No backup available. We were asked if we had AAA which we do. The agent told us to call them but not to tell them it was a rental which they don’t service. He said they would probably take care of it. If that didn’t work you could call U haul which sounded like the last hope. Not wanting to be dishonest with AAA, my husband chose a private locksmith which was extremely expensive. Could there be a second fob with the agent? The truck had 10,000 miles on it. We were pleased.!I have rented storage space at the agency for literally decades and am pleased with it. I will be using a small van many times in the coming months, but I will rent elsewhere as I am disappointed in the response I received. My husband would like to be sure there is no problem with the locking system as he felt he did not lock the van. I doubt this will happen.
CARL BThe guy that moves the trucks is a complete asshole. Both the lady's inside were talking about him. Then I went to get my rental and this guy comes up and starts cussing at me to move my car. Told me cant park here,get the fuck out the way. Then the truck was completely covered with snow. That guy needs his walking papers.
