There was some confusion about what time I had to return the truck. I didn't realize the facility closed at 4:00 and I returned it at 5:00. My mistake. But the owner/manager was very nice about it. I really appreciated his understanding and kindness.Janeen K.

The truck was in good working order and clean. However, you charged me for insurance without asking. I missed it when I picked the vehicle up. My personal insurance would have covered anything that occurred and I feel this was just another way to make more money. I am not pleased. Rick was cleaning snow off a truck when I arrived. I flagged him down and he said he would be with me when he finished cleaning off the truck. When I tried to go into the office to get out of the freezing weather, the door was locked. I waited for a couple of minutes, then I said to him I need to get going. He glared at me for a couple of seconds, then repeated that he would be with after he cleaned off the truck and that he had been here since early this morning... SO THAT'S WHY HE LEAVES ME TO FREEZE WAITING FOR HIM????ROGERSLOAN S.
When making an online reservation, I explicitly declined any insurance (Safe Move), which is $42. However, the sales agent added it to my bill without asking me if I wanted to add. Simply asked to sign papers. I've been robbed $42. Not the service I expected.AMEL C.

The original pickup location of my order was not this. No truck of my choice was there, but I was not notified in advance. I was redirected to this new pickup location with calling the customer service. Not a happy experience!Weisi Y.
As a person who owns two self storage locations who stopped representing U-Haul I can't say I'm surprised. The equipment was awful. Huge wind noise. Terrible steering, almost dangerous.I'm glad I only had to drive a few miles. Despite delivering the vehicle back with the exact amount of gas that I picked it up with I was charged for an eighth of a tank. I drove 70 highway miles and put 7 gallons in a tank. I have a receipt. Not too many trucks get less than 10 miles a gallon. The folks at the location were very nice. Can't blame them for what I already knew was it terrible company. You have to love how they send a survey about the location. The questions are about how do you feel about the location. would you recommend the location to a friend? Nothing about how s***** the equipment is. Or just so awful the whole system is. For the net 20 cents a month this facility makes on U-Haul they lose thousands of brain damage. So glad I kicked these guys to the curb.MARKSEAN W.

Require the on-site U-haul representative to personally inspect the rental vehicle with the customer present both at the time of rental and at the time of rental return so that any issues can be timely resolved. The new "contactless" rental practices resulted in my being assessed a usurious fuel charge of 4 gallons despite that I only drove 10,7 miles, the fuel gauge showed slightly less than three-eighths of a tank of fuel when I took possession of the truck, and the photograph of the fuel gauge I took after returning the truck showed that the rental truck was returned with significantly more than the quarter tank recorded on the contract by the U-haul representative the next morning. The truck ran fine, and I put 1.5625 gallons of fuel into the tank at the gas station across the street from the U-haul rental facility just before returning the truck, so the four-gallon fuel surcharge for a trip of under 11 miles clearly was not warranted. I will never rent from that U-haul facility again.THOMASRONALD M.

Using your app, I was able to pick up the vehicle without issue. But returning, the app would not recognize location permissions. The local place was not in the office but no real issue since the key return box was available. Got a receipt in just a few minutes. Overall. this was a great experience. No contact due to the open hours. Just works. Easy peasy.James M.
