My request was a 15 foot truck. A few days before the date of pick up, a representative called to say there was none available so I had no choice but to pick up a 20 foot truck. The gas was very expensive for this truck. I was not happy with the gas mileage.

I rented a 15 ft truck and 5 x 9 trailer. My call center reservation was fine, but the local offices moved it 15 miles away. UHaul must track inventory better than it does.


Yes with a caveat. Staff needs customer service training. The truck needed a tune up. The 5 x 9 trailer was not clean.

I gptta say...the staff there at the North Hollywood U-Haul ouflet on Victory B;vd. did a great job. They were professional, courteous, and efficient under harried conditions. They were extremely busy both when I rented the Van, and also brought it back. And the vehicle was clean and well maintained, and really performed well for what I had to do.

While this was just a quick drop off, the staff there asked about my experience where I told her about the chain breaking. She was helpful insomuch as she told me what was the cause of the break, which was that the trailer hitch was too low to the ground and the solution would be to flip the toe hitch to give it more space so that the chains would not be hitting the ground.

HORRRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Very unprofessional staff, when stuck with the truck at a gas station because it wouldn't start back up upon drop off arrival, no one was available to assist, so we had to spend additional money to Uber to the U-Haul to let them know of the situation. Upon our arrival, we approached staff that were NOT following CDC guidelines of wearing a mask in the store. Other customers as well were not wearing masks, and nothing was said about it. When confronted by the staff of what my issue was, The staff rudely replied I only work here and was unwilling to help us with our situation. When requested for the manager he gave an attitude. Both employees names are listed below: Fidel Ruiz and Ruben Banegas We also found a homeless person sleeping in the back of a U-Haul truck when we were departing and nothing was clean. Felt very unsanitary!

Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Only thing is, and I told the main customer service person on the 800-Uhual call center line, and the employees of this store, that the info about parking at the location is wrong. This needs to be updated on the website. You CANNOT park your car there when you rent, unless you park on the main street, which is not in a great area, and there may be restrictions on parking there (I didn't check the street signs). So you MUST have someone drop you off and pick you up if you don't want to leave your car parked on the main street (again, that might not even be legal - I never checked the signs). This is a huge piece of information to know for future customers not familiar with this location.

The cargo space of the truck upon return by the previous renter was not clean. It was loaded with manure or some farm-field soil. I had to sweep out the residues and mop the walls and floor of the compartment before I could load my cargo. This caused a significant delay to the start of my transport. Also, the tread of the passenger-side front tire was well worn on the outside shoulder of the tire. This condition caused a worry about tire-failure for the duration of the extensive miles of driving. Maybe "just-in-time" truck-sharing should include a pause for prep and inspection before a truck is dispatched again.

Employees were not properly wearing masks. Noses (and in one case his mouth) were exposed. My vehicle wasn't ready until close to 30 minutes after my reservation and I had to fight for the $50 credit (you know, the one offered online that states "Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 "Reservation Guarantee" will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation"). Afterwards, I was treated as someone whom they did not want to deal with. I believe that employees of any business should make the customers feel liked, not an annoyance. Don't treat the customer poorly because of a mistake made by an employee.

This was the location that saved my life if it wasn't for their fast actions on calling the police when I was kidnapped 7/21/20 the police would've never known i was the person they were looking for when they found me in that condition I also appreciate the friendliness of all the workers on duty on my visits

I booked a truck and when I got to the location at 12:30 pm, I was told that the reservation had been canceled, because it was made for 12:30 am. I was never informed of the cancellation. Really bad!!!!
