There was no one at the location at the time of our appointment (8:00 a.m. - one hour after this location supposedly opened!). After waiting 45 minutes, someone finally showed up. And then we did not get a final receipt when we returned the truck. This is an extremely poorly managed location and we would never come back.

I rented a van for an 11 mile delivery of a mattress to my family. Before returning the van, I filled the tank 1 mile from the U-Haul rental and it took 3.8 gallons ($10.25). When I returned to U-haul, I asked approximately how many miles per gallon the van would get around town. I was told 15. Let’s be conservative and say it was 11 or 1 gallon. Seems to me I was paying for 2.8 gallons of gas that the previous user didn’t put in the tank. That’s why I rated the experience four stars and not five.

The guys working there were awesome. Customer center worst ever. Changed my reservation the morning of. Then when called theee times through out the day NOT ONE ALL BACK. asked for manager three times and was blown off each time. Rude and disrespectful. Will NEVER RENT AGAIN FROM ANY UHAUL. The worker at uhaul saved us from even more stress. I doubt this review will do anything g because it's happened to so many folks I know. Time to take your custaimer support to another level. Big business never cares about the small guy.

We had a very poor experience at this location. First of all, we had reserved a 17 foot truck for overnight since we had to move in somewhere over the course of 2 days. On the day of the move, we were contacted that we could only have the truck for 3 hours. When I said that wouldn't work, and after a lot of negotiation, they found us a 26-foot truck which was much larger than we wanted. When we went to fill it with gas before returning it, we had a minor accident where a corner of the truck dented a gas station sprinkler system. There was little to no damage to the truck. We put in a report and turned that into the location, where they basically told us we were all set and not to worry. We were contacted by Repwest and told that UHaul has insurance for this sort of thing and they just needed a statement from me, so I figured we were all set. About a month later, I get a claim in the mail for over $2000. We managed to talk to Repwest and found out that UHaul had put in for damages far beyond what we had caused. They lowered the cost themselves to $1033 and told me to talk to the location to get the claim withdrawn. I went in and spoke to the manager who said that he would figure it out for me and contact Repwest. About a month after that, I got an email from Repwest saying that they had not heard from me, there was no proof I ever went in to speak to UHaul, and threatening to send our bill to collections. Since then, I have tried to contact the manager 6 or 7 times and nobody will call me back. It is completely unacceptable for me to pay $1033 because Uhaul refuses to call me back and because we were driving a far larger truck than planned that we caused no damage to.

There is a small compartment in the driving area of the van that we used to put one of our cell phones. It is about the size of a cell phone, so seemed ideal for storing one there. However, as soon as the door to the van was closed, the cell phone was smashed and the screen cracked. This is an $800 phone so this is incredibly upsetting. I know UHAUL probably doesn't design these vans, but it's something to note and perhaps label for future drivers.

My Sis in law’s reservation was not honored in Great Barrington, but Northampton came to the rescue. Pick up and drop off was a breeze. Two men in Nham office were very personable.

This location is fraudulantly using my email information. Incompetent morons work at this location. I have uhaul customer addresses, phone numbers and credit card info emailed to me. I am going to call your customers & let them know how incompetent uhaul is with thier account information.

I was harass by multiple phone calls because i dropped the truck at a wrong location and on time. Still i was charged $40.00 per day for 3 days a total of $120.00. I will fight for my hard earned money and this is absurd.

The clerk did not seem familiar with the procedures for a one-way rental -- especially one referred from another location that did not have the reserved equipment. Then this location did not have all the requested equipment. The clerk did not attached the auto transport to the truck correctly -- I had to correct the safety hazard. The light connector was not working properly and had to be replaced at another (third) location.

I originally reserved a van to rent in Hadley, MA (Stadium Storage Location) and when I got to the point in the ridiculously bug-filled app where I was supposed to get a combination to open one of the three lockboxes containing the key to my vehicle it crashed. Seven times. I was then on hold with a doze different people from Uhaul standing next to the Van I had already paid for and had a completed invoice for but no keys. Eventually it was explained to me that this particular location had forgotten to put the combinations into the app and that I would have to drive to a Northampton, MA location to pick up a different van where I would have to start the entire process over again. The van at Northampton was dirty and even had other peoples belongings still inside (I took pictures via the app but who knows where they went after that). The move went smoothly after finally getting the van, no thanks to Uhaul or any of the people I spoke with. In addition to spending over two hours on the phone and being late starting my move I was forced to pay for over 40+ miles I had to drive in order to pick up this van because of Uhaul's mistakes and errors. When I returned my van after moving to the Northampton location I checked my bank account out of curiosity to see if they had charged me every time they had produced an invoice and they had. I had several charges that were processing on my account. There were NOT holds...they had charged me every time. When I spoke with the "closing manager" at the Northampton location about my experience and asked if he could look into the multiple charges or if there was a discount I could receive for this being literally the worst moving experience of my life he replied "Well I wasn't around here earlier when you came in so I can't give you a discount. We only give discounts to active military." When asked about the multiple charges his response was "Uhhh I guess wait a couple of days and if they are still there or processed then call Uhaul" This has been hands down the WORST experience moving anywhere. From the ridiculous app, to the "customer service" over the phone, the dirty van, the several charges that are still being processed on my account as this is being written and the employees at these multiple locations that didn't help or even seem to know what they were doing. I've used Uhaul in the past when you could rent a truck from a location close by, move and return it. This new system is terrible, the employees using it need training, the customer service and dispatch representatives need more training and the individual franchise needs to be held accountable..as does Uhaul itself. I personally will never use Uhaul again and will never recommend them to anyone after this experience. I've never even responded to one of these reviews, negatively or positively (Uhaul is very concerned with your experience throughout and when on hold they'll tell you how much they value your feedback). The attendant did not show me how to use the truck. I was therefore unaware that I needed a lock to lock the cargo door. It was only after I arrived at my destination that I couldn’t figure out a way to lock it. I then called your toll free #, was placed on hold for 23 minutes, and was finally told I ne fed to purchase my own lock. Due to this, I missed my dinner reservations, not to mention the anguish this caused!! I am therefore disputing the charge
