I was called two days before my move and told that I would need to pick up my UHaul at a location that was 15 miles from where I had planned on picking it up. That made for a bad situation as UHaul did not remove the original pick up location I had requested from my order. I spent 2 1/2 hours in the parking lot of this location trying to problem solve with several customer service representatives over the phone after hours to get a pin number in order to pick up the truck. This was not a great start to an already stressful event of moving. Even though, every person I spoke with may have been polite---it was several people who commented that "we have never had this situation before and are not sure how to handle it." After this was finally handled at 10:30 pm, I drove the truck home to find that the 2 dozen moving blankets that I'd ordered were not in the truck although, "we can see that you ordered them" was the response I received when calling the next day in the middle of my move. I was not allowed to go to the closest UHaul store to get moving blankets because "that is not how we handle things like this". I was told I would get a call back after the representative I was talking to told me that she was taking calls due to an overload of calls on a Saturday. I never received a call back--so I called again, just to be told that there were no moving blankets at the nearest store for me to pick up. But, I was also told that "the good news is--you were never charged for them." That was a ridiculous thing to say to someone who was trying to make a fast and efficient move. Instead, I had to purchase 6 blankets from Home Depot at $10 each. After my move, I contacted UHaul and was first offered a voucher to use their services again--no, thank you. Then I was offered $50 reimbursement and reimbursement for the moving blankets with the proof of a receipt. Hard to take that the burden of proof was on me, but I did as requested and am awaiting the reimbursements. It's been about 3 weeks since my move.

They went above the call of duty, I ran into some problem with my driver and they were supportive and patience. I really appreciate the experience. Customer service was not to my expectation. It seemed very little effort was made to be friendly or helpful. I also found it interesting I called the location several times within a 20 minute time frame before physically arriving. No one ever picked up the phone, however when I entered the building the employee was sitting chatting with a friend very casually. Is it policy not to answer the phone on Sundays? Also, when I asked the employee how much the truck weighed she looked at me incredulously and said she had no way of knowing that. She could only tell me the length of the truck but there was no way she'd be able to tell me how much it weighed. She didn't try to assist me in researching the question further even though I explained to her I needed to know the weight for insurance purposes. I stepped outside and called the U-Haul 800 number. The person who answered the phone was able to immediately answer my question. I don't understand why the employee at the site could not assist in at least directing me to where I could find that answer. I was very dissatisfied with a customer service received at this location. The truck was fine, and in a pinch I would use the truck again. However, I would try my best to avoid this location because there was no customer service. People use your services during Life Changes, sometimes during major crisis. A friendly face can make a world of difference. Something very simple to provide that goes a very long way.

I made reservation as needed, representative called stated truck not available location. 20 seconds later truck was available. Wife and brother picked truck up got stuck at work. Rep in store rewrite order with insurance and after wife declined charges me 15 extra dollars. As a customer service manager I hate when people dont listen. I will not recommend location or company and will use Penske next time.

I'm used to someone going over the truck with me. Not if the fuel or mileage is wrong I call them and they come down to verify. There were 2 ladies in the office so the 1 helping should've came down with me

The people at the location seemed not very knowledgeable about uhaul's policy's enough to help me. Also I feel like I overpaid since this is not an official uhaul location (as I was told by the cashier) but it shows up on the uhaul website. I did not enjoy renting from them and won't be again.
