Two main issues - ordered 24 furniture blankets - received them in plastic bags. Upon opening them, over half of them were wet and musty/mildew smelling! Assume they were washed and then packaged before they were dry? Other issue was no jack on the trailer tongue. I needed to unhook the trailer after it was loaded - hard to do without a jack! I called in and was told this was by design and that I was not to unhook it once it was attached. Not good planning IMO!

The trucks allow a lot of water into them. Despite covering items, water still seeped through and some items were even sitting in a puddle of water when we arrived at our destination.

Everything was really smooth we signed in chose our truck and picked it up easily with the mobile site. All we had to do was walk in and get the keys it really helped when we were in a rush to move. It was also very easy to return that truck!! I really enjoyed the entire process because it was so simple and easy and quick. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the truck itself needed some work it was very old it was very touchy when we drove it and when we were unloading the furniture and loading it we could smell gasoline in the back of the truck the smell would quickly fill the back of the truck Once we would arrive to a location. I would suggest maybe getting some newer trucks or having them maintained more or better. The light inside of the truck also did not work making it a little hard to move when it became dark. Other than that the staff was pretty friendly they just didn't seem to know about how the online and pick up works.. It took a few minutes for them to give us the keys because they were helping other clients I understand this but we are supposed to be guaranteed to walk in and grab them and walk out.

Was disappointed with the check in process. I showed up on time, waited for the guy in front of me to finish up (about 10min, no biggie) and then when it was my turn they told me to meet another employee outside to get hooked up. Finished that in 5min and then they made me wait back at the end of the line again, almost 15min, behind three other people to check out. I don’t think I should have to get in line twice to wait and be put at the back of the line after waiting once. Took over 30min to pick up a trailer. I’ve rented from UHaul several times and never had to do that before.

I reserved a uhaul through uhaul at the Lawrence KS location almost a month ahead of time and less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to pick up our uhaul, we received a call saying that they didn't have that size truck available for us at the location we requested. They said they went ahead and booked us one at the next closest location (30 miles away in Olathe KS) and that due to the inconvenience, we would not be charged the mileage from Olathe to Lawrence ( approximately 30 miles) I was assured multiple times by the uhaul representative that called me that we would not be charged for that excess mileage from Olathe to Lawrence. I showed up to the Olathe location and let them know what she had said and he said that he'd go ahead and include 30 free miles on our booking. When I went to return the uhaul, I ended up getting charged 163 dollars to drive a 15 foot uhaul 38 miles. I immediately contacted uhaul to get this rectified and I just received a message back saying that they called around to both uhaul locations and they have "no record of me being told this". So I am basically out of luck. This is absolutely ridiculous customer service! I have been a loyal uhaul customer for over 10 years now and I can assure you that not only will I NEVER use your service again, I will tell everyone that I know about your poor customer service and ridiculous practices so that they don't fall victim to your unprofessional and disorganized practices. Absolutely unacceptable

when I called to reserve trailer was told cost would be 54.99 plus tax then $9.99 for insurance. insurance cost $19.99 instead, drop off charges and all they added on costs ended up being $114..They never tell the truth when you call or look online. always costs are double when you get there

The truck seemed to have a few problems on it's turns. It did shake but for a big truck, it was about normal I would say. It was very clean and had my blankets and dolly ready to go. The crew was excellent. They checked me in early and got right to the points. Very fast moving to get me through to get on with my business. Checkout was as fast as check-in and the guy checking me out was extremely friendly and quick to get me taken care of.

Your vehicles need to be more clean upon pick up. Take some pride and wash them. Clean the windows. Wipe out the floor board and the cargo space. Vacuum the seats. These all needed done on my visit today.

The trailer as we drove to California had light issues. The wire that was plugged into my car was obviously old and needed replaced. My son used a set of jumper cables to connect to the trailer so the lights would stay on. I feel a better inspection of the trailer at the pick up dealer should take better care.
