First, when I arrived at my scheduled pick up time, no one was there and I had to wait outside for 30 minutes waiting. I started to do the online pick up but then realized the keys were not in the truck. As I was checking in, I informed the attendant to remove the furniture covers from my order because I had not requested this and didn’t it but I did need the dolly. He gave me the docs to sign without reviewing anything, including the gas, damages, etc. It was not in the front of my mind to tell him to do this. As I made it to my first stop to begin moving, I saw the gas was under 3/4 of a tank and not on full like the paper I signed indicated. Then I opened the rear and the dolly was not there. I immediately called customer service and informed them. Basically I had to move without the dolly because all other locations in my area were closed or out of my way. It would have delayed me by hours to have to pick up a new dolly. It was super frustrating on moving day to have to deal with moving plus all this. I even asked him twice if I was good to go and he said yes. He didn’t check anything from the truck or ask me to go check anything. I’ve used Uhaul before and never had any issues. It’s a pretty simple process. But this was by far the worst experience. I will not be renting a uhaul from this location again. Also, I left a storage key in the truck when I dropped off and called the location to see if they found this, but no one answered. I left a voicemail.

Do not rent here. I rented a truck for 90 minutes to haul some plants, drove according to receipt 8.2 miles. This place said the trucks get 12 miles a gallon; I put one gallon of gas in before returning it. My receipt was charged for THREE Gallons of gas- (in 90 minutes, 8 miles!) which isn’t even possible. I stopped by in person to complain; left after waiting for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged by U-Haul clerk (there was ONE person before me). I called later, and was told that “UHAUL had my money, they did not” and I would have to talk to the Regional U-Haul company, thought I rented and paid this compass Self Storage. Called U-Haul Regional, was told there was ONE person in the whole company who would call to “talk to me about it” and no, I could not get his direct phone number or even his name. Of course, he never called. Obviously, this is not the first time this company has done this. If this company dings each customer $8 extra on most rentals, that may be “the way it just works”…it is also the way it works you should be warned to drive a few minutes to any other local truck rental company.

The front desk person was 22 minutes late. This caused me to run behind in my 10am item pickup. The worker was very nice, but the overall situation was not good. Very disappointed in regards to that.

The place was very dirty. Garbage bags full of garbage all over the place. On the dirty counter there was a box of chocolate chip cookies that had a trail of ants going through it. It smelled so bad that the lady who worked there had to get a spray and spray the room. My reservation was for 10:00 am and no one was at the office until 1:05 pm. I tried to use the key pad to call but it would hang up on me. Called customer service number and I think they called her and she arrived finally at 1:05 pm. When she arrived she was very sick and could hardly stand she said her daughter was throwing up and she was very sick. This is not good customer service. I should not have to pay for this at all!! Expecially since my movers left me because I was over 2 hours late. And my cable guy could not install the service because I had the appointment for 12:00 and I was not at my new house to have it installed so I had to reschedule. Not good at all. I am waiting to hear back from someone.

Let me know what drop of is closest to my moving address. The one I originally was going to drop it off at was further away. This location was not easy to drop off large trucks because the entrance was so small.
