Check in was so difficult. The app wasn’t functioning. Also there were no straps or cords to secure furniture and there wasn’t even an option to add them so I assumed they would be in the car. We ended up wasting so much time with the app and then getting cords, that we were so rushed on our return.
Julie HThere was really no customer service involved. I was required to take photos of the front and back of my drivers license, take a selfie photo, take photos of the truck to document its condition, and up loads it to the Uhaul website using my phone. My experience with other rental companies is that the agent scans my license, or there is a scanning machine that records the license for the customer. No selfies required. The agent also reviews the condition of the vehicle ahead of time, and then reviews it with the customer. No need for the customer to do all the work of uploading photos. If you are going to use this type of systems, make it more customer friendly; create a self serve customer kiosk that takes the customer photo, scans the license, scans the vehicle's condition, reads the credit card, and dispenses the key. No human contact need and more proficient self serve system..While your agents were respectful and friendly, there was really no need for them to be there. I reason I checked that I would recommend the rental location is simply because it was located at a convenient location for me.
