The gentleman that runs this location was excellent to work with. He made the whole rental experience fantastic. He went out of his way to ensure that we had the vehicle when we needed it. He extended the rental for several days for us without any issues.

Gus was Great!!!
I own a publishing company and a non-profit foundation in Pasadena where we find the need to rent a 20' truck several times a year. I have used the same location and dealt with the same individual who both provided excellent service until last week. I had made arrangements with UCLA six months ago to pick up archival materials on Wednesday, March 4th between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. I confirmed with UCLA the day before and then went to Uhaul in person on Tuesday March 3rd to reserve a truck. I arrived at Uhaul at 9:00 am to find the "open" sign flashing and the door locked. I knocked and didn't get a response. I looked around to see if trucks were being checked in or checked out and didn't find anyone. I knocked again. No answer. After waiting about 20 minutes and repeatedly knocking on the door, a fellow named Gus answered after apparently being awakened from a nap. I told him I needed to reserve a 20' or larger truck and he said he didn't have any and I should call the 800-number for Uhaul. I suggested he help me since he was an employee, but apparently an unwilling and incapable one. After seeing a bunch of trucks in the lot, apparently none were available. He called some woman named Beth and said a truck was coming back that day (3/3) and I could have it the next day. He said he made the reservation and it was confirmed. Upon returning on 3/4 at 8:45am there was another fellow there. He told me I didn't have a reservation. He also suggested I call the 800 number. No, I needed a truck NOW, not later. I had a time restriction and had to be at UCLA in two hours. I finally took a 15' truck out of desperation. I told him I would have the truck back by 3:00 in the afternoon. He said they were only open until 9:30am that day; a half hour from when I was checking it out. I didn't receive a paper contract ("because we don't provide those any more") and I was to be charged a $20.00 "convenience fee" for dropping it off after hours. Well, if Uhaul is only open for 30 minutes a day, I shouldn't be charged a convenience fee because they can't staff the location. So I dropped it off the same day, could not get the Uhaul telephone number provided to me to work because "the mailbox for this phone number is full or has not been set up" and I could not get the Uhaul ap to work on my phone after several attempts to input the info on my smartphone. Two days later I get an email and a phone call asking WHEN I was going to return the truck and I would be incurring extra charges. Why? I returned it the same day I rented it. Well, apparently there were no employees at that location for two more days to see I had dropped off the truck. Horrible experience, horrible staffing, lousy attitudes and employees who know little or nothing about the rental business or how to deal with customers. Just horrible.
This was my best experience with U-Haul to date. In the past I’ve dealt with really unfriendly and unhelpful reps. By contrast, Gustavo was excellent—friendly, helpful and truly caring about his work and customers. A true professional. I highly recommend this location.
Really great guy working when I picked up the cargo van, very helpful, courteous and professional.
I admit I was a little taken aback when I had to come in early to pick up the truck, but really it was because someone was ill. It was a little inconvenient, but I adjusted and understood. The equipment was in great condition and exactly what was needed. The service was fine. I had no complaints.
The truck that I ordered was not available. I was offered $50 instead of the truck I ordered, but I had to have a truck. The manager offered to discount the mileage rate for me since I had to take a smaller truck and make extra trips, but when I got my bill I was charged the higher rate. Due to the mass inconvenience of not getting the truck I ordered a week in advance, I am very upset there was not more to be done to help. I asked to be notified when any larger truck was in stock, I was not. When I dropped off the truck in the evening, I saw two trucks that were larger that I could have used. I work for Arcadia High School and need to use trucks frequently, but if U Haul is not reliable, and cannot guarantee the truck sizes needed, I will have to find another company.
A+ rating for Gustavo, the young man who helped me with my U-Haul rental. He was friendly and kind and gracious and a great asset to my whole experience. It was my first time renting from U-Haul. It will not be my last, thanks to Gustavo.
The gentleman Gus who help me was very kind and helpful. I will definitely refer anyone looking to rent a uhaul to that guy right there
It's because of Gustavo that I keep coming back - he's the best!
the guy at this location was very helpful. very professional. i have had a terrible experience on the covina location. this 3202 e foothill blvd is rated A+... perfect 10.. 5 stars thank you...
At drop off, the buy was busy so he had me leave the van and the key. He said I would get a receipt by email, but I haven't gotten one?
Excellent customer service!!!!!!!
Gustavo was so nice and helpful!!!
Office very helpful.
Make sure the Marijuana is cleaned up.
Very poor headlights for a truck that size. Not being able to return the truck at a local Uhaul was very inconvenience for the entire family being affected.
Newer equipment would be great. My truck had over 100K miles on it. Thanks.
I would like to add that Gus is very helpful and knowledgeable. On the other hand the experience was very pleasant with the truck. Not pleased at all
Rental was made on the web, did the whole process to check out the truck, but had to do it again with the attendent, who had a sign at the door saying he's not in, but he was. Gas tank had less than a quarter tank but was told I had to bring back a full tank. I showed him the amount of gas, he told me to bring back the same. When I returned the truck, I was still overcharged on the gas.
Serve Coffee !!!
Quickly checked in and quickly checked out. Gus was friendly and accommodating to work with.
Excellent customer service.
Hi there It was my first experience. But I need to discuss about the gas and price that you calculated.
