The truck was parked outside because there was no designated parking lot, but picking it up was simple enough. We returned the truck about seven hours later on Saturday while the store was still open. We expected the total to be less than $90, but were charged over $200. When we called the store, we were told to contact U-Haul directly, which we did on Sunday. U-Haul attempted to call the store, but no one answered. We then had to wait until Tuesday for the adjustment to be processed, only to discover that we had been charged for a two-day rental as well as an extra day of insurance. We had to call again to get the charges corrected. Overall, it took three phone calls to resolve a billing issue that should have been handled correctly the first time. The rental itself was easy, but the billing process was frustrating and time-consuming. I'm sure they can do better.

Mike, the owner went out of his way to accommodate me. He's a great business owner and a quality person.
Scott GInitially it was hard to pull the van out because there was a car parked closely in front of it and behind it.
Jessica LVendor rude, curt and yelled simply because I arrived early for pick up. I am not accustomed to communicate in this manner.
Ann-Marie TI rented a cargo van for a four hour move. The pickup experience was smooth and friendly — the attendant was courteous and efficient. However, the return experience was quite different. When I arrived to return the van, downtown Sierra Madre had no available parking. I temporarily parked at a nearby auto shop driveway and went in to explain the situation. The attendant seemed dismissive, repeatedly saying 'sorry, it doesn't fix the problem' and made it clear I was wasting his time by having him move the van himself. He eventually did move it, and parking spots opened up shortly after. I was also charged two gallons of gas for about eleven to twelve dollars, and a twenty five dollar cleaning fee because a silica gel packet from my boxes broke open inside the van. On the logistics side, the cargo van I received didn't match the online listing — the opening was smaller than advertised due to being a different cargo van than what was online, which required me to tilt my furniture to fit it. I made it work, but the dimensions mattered for my specific move. The van itself was in good condition with no prior damage. Overall, while the pickup was solid, the return experience and the gap between the online listing and actual vehicle left me unlikely to rent from this location again.
