Trailer's tongue was frozen in the ground due to recent freeze and nothing was done to prevent or correct this prior to pickup which was scheduled early the day before. No tools were available to dislodge the trailer, no help was provided and the rep pretty well told me that he couldn't do anything and I would have to cancel. Rep told me that UHaul does not provide anything to assist him. I was only able to dislodge the tongue by hammering the ice/frozen ground using my retractable hitch ball holder. It would have been very easy and simple to just rest the tongue off the ground with a small wood log or tripod.

Many things are a bit like a butterfly effect. I probably shouldn’t be too picky about this, and I understand that the staff were very busy. However, because of that, when I arrived at 9:00, I didn’t end up leaving until around 9:50. As a result, I didn’t have time to take photos or record the mileage. Since I didn’t record the mileage at that time, later on when you charged me extra, I had no evidence to prove otherwise. On top of that, several staff members had a very bad attitude on the phone, and even sounded somewhat threatening, saying that everything had to be based on your records.
Sheng YVehicle was covered in 2 inches of ice from a storm 3 days ago, had to chip away ice to just to drive the vehicle, requested 24 moving blankets on a reservation made weeks in advance, was told this morning sorry we don't have any. Requested a 20ft truck on the reservation and with a couple days notice ended up with a 15ft truck and made 2 trips. The blankets that come with the truck were wet and sandy on the floor of box. Got the job done at the minimum standard
Conrad GThe truck was clean and ready for use. However, the tires were not appropriate for winter driving. They had marginal tread depth, had no traction on slippery surfaces and became stuck in an inch of snow.
ANDREW WI was living in Petawawa and relocated to London, Ontario. As of February 28, the temperature in Petawawa was around -30°C. The route toward Peterborough includes winding roads and there was a risk of black ice. For safety reasons, I chose to take the main highway route from Petawawa through Renfrew and then toward London, which was significantly safer under the weather conditions. I was permitted to return the vehicle on March 1; however, I returned it on February 27 — within approximately 24 hours. I have now received an additional charge of approximately $78, and I am unclear as to why this amount has been applied.
