The person who checked me in was rude and unprofessional. I I then got on the highway and right away the hood flew open as the latches were left open. It was the scariest moment ever is at that point I was going 50 miles an hour.

1. The online ordering was perfect 2. The morning of the reservation person was quite efficient . Its a little over whelming all the electronics needed and that you cannot rent or function without a smart phone as well as decent ability to take pictures etc. 3. The bring back process quite confusing. I'm bringing back a truck, employees are looking at me and say nothing . I take pictures as required and then drop the keys in a lock box entrance which is actual open with employees watching me and no one . No one said anything

The man who helped us at the front desk was great, very kind and helpful. He explained the different truck options in an easy to understand manor, which I appreciated because it was my first move. However, a manager called him while he was helping us, and I overheard her being rude to him. She was questioning his work ethic about a task he did the day before. He politely explained to her that he finished the task, and told the secretary because she wasn’t in the office . It seemed like he went above and beyond on the task, and she kept questioning him in a rude tone. It was unprofessional and demeaning conversation. I was disappointed that she call him and talk for so long while he was helping a customer, and even more so awful and I comfortable to hear a manager speak down to an employee.

Went to the first location listed on our online reservation only to be told there wasn’t the 15 foot truck we had reserved on premise at the Greys Ferry location. We were then directed to go to the South 20th street location where we were told our truck was only to be told that we had to go back to the original location. We were told that our truck was there but clearly it wasn’t. The gentlemen working said it would be “delivered” to the location by our reservation time but it was already past this time so clearly it had not been delivered. He then told us we could just get the truck from the South 20th location so we went and set that up only to be told that we couldn’t have the vehicle for the 8 hours we had originally reserved it for. We were told we could only have the vehicle for 6 hours. As we were moving that day we felt we had no choice but to accept as we were told it was the only truck available and only option as someone else had it reserved later in the day. I asked if there were any other trucks and was told NO. We rushed to get the truck refueled and back on time only to discover that the lot was still full with every truck that had been there in the morning and nobody waitIng to use our truck which we rushed to get back. There was a definite lack of communication between the reservation and the pickup locations which cause a lot of inconveniences for us that day when it should have been streamlined and simplistic. All the bad bits aside, the truck ran well, was spacious and clean, and easy to retrieve and drop off at this location at South 20th. Besides the poor customer service aspects the other areas went well and we got everything moved albeit rushed. Would recommend this location to pick your truck from but would caution to call ahead and make sure they don’t muck up your reservation and that the times and logistics are all correct.

Did truck share 24/7 to avoid entering store during pandemic, but was still required to wait in line for over 1 hour just to pick up the truck keys after already filling out forms on my phone? What’s the point? After waiting, they couldn’t find my order in their system. Truck had only 1/4 tank gas and I didn’t receive any contract online documenting the starting gas level.

I literally jst tried to return my truck and got horrible service. I forgot my mask and was told repeatedly that I couldn’t enter the building but was not told how I could return the vehicle. I will not be returning to this location ever.

Clean inside drivers cabin particularly since communities are iadmidst the Coronavirus. Servicing for new customer (me) was not done/completed prior to me picking up the truck. Facility overbooked and I was not allowed to rent for the time originally booked for. Not only these other two major issue,, the battery needed a jump.

From the beginning of my experience the worker in the store was not helpful. He didn’t know anything about hauling with trailers . He sold me a part that didn’t have the proper parts . I explained what was needed and he didn’t understand or care to listen. I finally got the truck i needed and it had some broken things but no way to post that on the app or email . Now upon the return of the vehicle the same guy was rude and unprofessional. I explained that i was returning the truck and he told me i had to do online return . How am i supposed to know when no one explained that . Last i used the service of U-Haul the office person would come out , inspect the vehicle and make appropriate remarks about the damages and the gas / mileage. I’d like for this to be further discussed with the employee. I’m sure nothing with become of this comment but it’s worth it for me that someone should be held responsible for being so rude and unprofessional.

The new online check in and return is a waste of time for the customer. This is the second time I've had to use it, the first time my rental was changed to a different location 30 mins away and the 24/7 access was not available when I showed up so I had to wait 40 mins for the location to open. I feel as if I am the employee working for uhaul by having to take photos or the mileage, gas, and cleaniness of the return. This is something an employee of uhaul should be doing when the vehicle is returned NOT the costumer. Very unhappy with uhaul after my last two rentals!

I was told to walk around the van looking for imperfections that didn't appear in the photo's provided. I was told this in a nonchalant kind of way. I noticed a few dings and small scuff marks didn't think anything of it. All in all it was a nice van with nothing major or noticeable to an untrained eye. But i was never informed that i would be charged $150, the counter help didn't even express it to me with any urgency. When i brought the van back the attendant pointed put a tiny scuff mark on the back bumper passenger side, and said I'd be charged $150. I did notice the small scuff mark when i looked the car over before driving it but i didn't think it was anything worth mentioning. I asked him to bring up the photo's of the van i was shown before i drove it to prove the little scratch was there before i drove it, he refused to do that. Your system is flawed. I'm not a body shop pro, it wasn't expressed to me emphatically and i was NEVER told I'd be charged $150 or else i would have examined the van better. People looking to rent from uhaul have no body shop experience, they just want to get the van and get the job done. Furthermore, the gas level wad lower than written but i didnt hassle about that. Also, he based my estimate on driving 50 miles $83. I only drove 30 miles and my bill was $86. How is that possible. My final charge should have reflected the 20 less and should have been under $83. Your people should take the customer put to the van and point out any damages. We shouldn't have to do that. If you look at my history with uhaul, you'll see I'm an exemplary customer. But no longer. I'm switching to Ryder.

The service was excellent. There was only one person behind the counter at 8:30 AM on a Saturday (1st of the month) but multiple customers - seems like they could have used help (for our sake - the employee didn't seem fazed, but customers would have benefited from more staff). Doing everything through the internet was kind of annoying - there were scratches present on the van when we picked it up, and it would be preferable to review those with a person as opposed to uploading images, however that was our only option.
