I have used uhaul a number of times prior to yesterday. The vine street location has always been very helpful and polite. This time the people were very rude and everytime u called they answered without saying hello. They put you directly on hold. If you are not paying attention you would not realize they answered the phone. Also as usual I have it set up where my nephew picks up my truck and this locations not only refuse him picking it up they would not allow me to pay for it over the phone. I will never use this location again.

I was overcharged for gas. The slip I was given said it was 15/16 full; in fact, the gauge said 3/4, much less. I wound up filling it, 14+ gallons for 99 miles driven. Check the gauge! Next time I will not pull out of the lot without checking, after the engine starts.

For started if a customer made a reservation online the store should have the truck or van available and not had the customer go from one Uhaul location close to their home to one farther away to pick up a vehicle. I made a reservation at this location and was told it was another one and I spend an extra hour to be sent back to the original location to get the truck. The store clerk told me that what I made was a request not a reservation and if they don't have the truck they'll send me to another one. No where online it said to make a request. You clearly make reservations all the time.

The first representative at the store was not sure how to check me in for my Uhaul reservation. Once she strugged for a few minutes, a second representative was able to correct the issues and successfully check me in.

The only complaint I have is that the original drop off location I selected decided they couldn't take the vehicle because of space shortage so I had to drive farther and ended up outside of my free mileage a bit so I had to pay for a few extra miles.

The gas gauge in the truck wasn't working properly in the truck and we only had to put 5/8 back in and it jumped from 1/2 tank to full. We put about 30.more in gas in the truck and should be refunded.

I was charged for safe towing even though I had declined the coverage. I'm still waiting for the manager to return my call and return my money back to me. I had to pay a total of $1,361.08 for a moving van and tow dolly. Why would to pay out any more money if I don't have to especially when I don't have the money?

The only thing that was wrong is they didn’t have the correct reading on the starting amount of fuel so maybe just double check that beforehand. That was already taken care of for me so customer service is great. Other than that everything was so easy and everyone was really nice and helpful.



They over charge me for the hours I rented the car, people that work there also have you on hold forever to take care of customer which indicates that it’s short of staff? I am actually trying to dispute my charge and can’t even get a hold of someone at this location.
