I was massively overcharged. I had the trailer for 3 days ---I was charged $347 for the trailer, $50 for a wire and $52 for wire installation. When I got to my destination I found out that the rental would have been $14.95 = $45, the wire would have been free and the installation about $50. I paid $449 for what should have been approximately $100, how I was ripped off. I will recommend to all my friends, neighbors and family NOT to use U-haul for any reason.

Have a couple more people @ the desk when arriving. There was only one person and then he would have to leave the desk to go out to the lot.

I used the 24/7 option and checked in and out on my phone. This is what was recommended when I was reserving the vehicle. But, when I picked up my vehicle I couldn't find the truck, so had to go inside to get info on where it was. Same thing happened when I was checking out. An associate came out and said that I needed to be checked out even though I had already done so on the phone. Some miscommunication exists between the actual store and the website.
Everyone at Uhaul was very patient and understanding I didn't have any issues.

Driver seat would not move, was stuck pretty far back so had to sit on the edge of the seat. Also the window knob kept falling off so could not open & close the window. Also refilled the gas to ABOVE the level started with.
Employees that assisted me with equipment return didn't wear masks. This is very dangerous with CT COVID rates. The van was pretty dirty and I was contacted the night before with a notice that the location of my van was changed.
There was a problem with the steering wheel which the attendant said she was aware of, however it would have been good to make the driver aware of the problem. It could be the cause of a serious accident for an inexperienced driver.
Everyone was great and very accommodating! I have no complaints!!

Moody bitch lady was there when I picked up and when I returned the trailer. Took forever (over a half hour) to be waited on. Moody lady with long hair sat in her office and did nothing to help the one person waiting on people in the line to rent equipment. She was in the same grouchy mood when I returned the trailer the next day.
Horrible customer service- actually, that is being nice. To say it was horrible would imply there was SOME customer service to be had. U-Haul bottom line does not care about their customers. Charges are random, no explanation. And we had severe mechanical issues which compromised the safety of the vehicle and that of everyone else on the road along with it... yet what does U-Haul do? They rent it out immediately (even tho I returned it one day earlier than my reservation) and told me to my face they were â€œnot worriedâ€ about the mechanical issues which I reported. Good luck if you rent a U-Haul - you very well may need it.
The truck was labeled as â€œgentle rideâ€ and it was anything but. There was no steering and if you started to ease on the brakes the engine revved. The vehicle couldn't accelerate over 40 MPH.
Front desk rep very nice and pleasant
They forgot my hand truck and 12 blankets, and the mobile check in did not work, which was extremenly disappointing due to the line at 9 am.
Communicate better as a staff. I waited 20 minutes for someone to put air into a tire. The person working was looking for a valve to use the air pump. Finally, someone else came out and told him that part had been stolen and I was switched to a different vehicle. Total waste of time
Online would not let me complete the return , was very annoyed but customer service fixed the issue after 10 minutes on hold.
Good rental equipment. Unfortunately they added a $25 charge for cleaning without ever mentioning it to me. Never saw the charge until I got home so was unable to discuss why the fee was added. Should have been mentioned at the drop off that they considered the vehicle required a cleaning.
The truck smelled like cigarette smoke. Employees should be wearing masks even outside and especially in the vehicles.
