I was charged for 165 miles and it is actually 147.5 miles.

Truck was not in that good of condition. Wipers did not clean good when it rained. Lights were too low didn’t shine bright enough.

I? believe the mileage shown to me on the paper was not accurate, as supported by GPS calculation and the fact we had to put in 7 gallons of gas to ‘return it at the same gas level’. According to the original recorded odometer reading and the returned odometer reading, we drove a total of 25 miles. There is a discrepancy there because GPS says our destination was 6 miles from the U-Haul location; the recorded total mileage is almost exactly double the miles GPS says, but we did not make a 12-mile detour. In addition, U-Haul states the truck has a MPG of 19 miles, so there is a HUGE discrepancy. As mentioned, we had to add 7 gallons to the truck to return it at the level the document stated. The sales associate did not take us out to review the truck together or verify the odometer and gas level. We used U-Haul a few years ago, and that was the process at that time. We thought perhaps the process changed. We feel they are scamming clients in a way most might not notice if distracted. We were unable to go into the store and speak with a manager because we have a 3-months old son who was inconsolable in his car seat.

The equipment was faulty. The brake fluid was leaking, all the pressure went on my truck which could've damaged my transmission. With the brake not functioning well on the trailer, the gas consumption not truck was ridiculous. Upon return, I told the Uhaul rep about the issue, he apologized and thought that this issue was addressed (which told me that they were aware of the issue).

Customers should be alerted to the MPH governor on the truck they're renting at the time of reservation so they can plan ahead. In my area, the speed limit is 70 on most highways. A governor of 75 means at times you can't stay with the flow of traffic and have no passing ability. There were moments that it didn't feel safe because I had no maneuverability.

U Haul needs to improve it's software. The staff at all U Haul locations I have used are struggling to overcome shortfalls in U Haul's software tools. U Haul is going to lose it's market share through lack of availability as remote locations terminate their affiliation with U Haul due to software disfunction.

The transmission on my truck seemed to be getting stuck. It was an automatic but rode like a standard.
