Horrible customer service. The final cost was over twice the amount I was quoted by 2 different employees. The van got a flat tire and the tools needed to change it were not in the van. They had to send 2 different auto technicians out and the second one had to get it off with what tools he had which took a long time.

Perhaps have two staff on a Saturday morning-- lots of people have to move on weekends and I waited about 15 minutes for the customer ahead of me. It was a bit frustrating since I had completed my paperwork on line so I could get the truck and get moving.

There were no ramps on the truck that would have been helpful for loading heavy objects. The staff was very friendly and tried hard to accommodate our needs.

They didn't read the gas gauge right the first time and were going to over charge us, but to their credit, they corrected their assessment. Great location for what we needed. And the info all the way along was clear. Thanks.

Attendant I delt with on my check back in was overly judgmental about where gas line was. Went two different times to refill gas and still had an issue. We don’t get creditors when the gas is returned over the line. Splitting hairs over an 1/8 of a tank is ridiculous, sure it won’t be the last time she does this.

We were hoping to get a 20 foot truck. I called to make a reservation 4 days prior to pick up. I was not able to obtain that size at this location, although the staff person was very willing to set me up somewhere else. I guess I wish there was more inventory available.

The only issue I had was the original reservation was made for the wrong truck, so I had to call and get it changed last minute. Fort Knox staffs nice employees that are very knowledgeable.

To improve: Treat the next customer with regard. Welcome them and provide them with better customer service so they will want to return. And dont add inappropriate charges and fees. I arrived on time for my drop off but they were debating with me weather or not to accept my uhual from Salem. I was turned away. I ended up sitting in my car and calling my uhaul location and they assured me that I can drop off at that location if they would accept the truck. The process took awhile because of the back and forth. Their customer service was very poor. They were short with me and rude. Not welcoming or helpful at all. When I asked questions they acted as if I was frustrating them. I have never had a negative experience utilizing uhual in the past and I have done so several times before. In addition, they had the nerve to charge me for an additional $65 stating my return was late. So they charged me for another whole day plus insurance. When I already paid $138 at the time of pick up and was on time. My drop off was NOT "late"! They refused to take the truck which made my check - in process extremely long. They wouldn't even call the Salem uhual to confirm my drop off location was correct or not and/or to adequately resolve any issues. Their refusal to accept my drop off in the beginning forced me to contact uhaul in Salem to resolve the issue myself! After I made phone calls - they were finally willing to accept my drop off . But with a major attitude. One of the guys stormed off upset. His behavior was odd. This was a terrible experience and I would never recommend this location to anyone! I will be disputing that additional charge as well. I need someone to contact me in order to promptly resolve this issue.

We purchased a padlock from this location to secure the truck we were renting only to find out that it would not fit in the trucks roll up door hasp. The slap in the face is when they would not refund our purchase telling me I had opened the package... really???? Poor customer service.... truck was fine...

The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional, and the location near the Portland Airport was VERY convenient. I would definitely rent a vehicle from this location again.

I was not allowed to inspect the interior of the van I rented before paying, and then was told after I returned it (from moving household furniture) that I had made the interior dirty and would have to come clean it or pay a $25 dollar cleaning fee. Never mind that I've never heard of cleaning a rental car, the interior was not at all dirty and looked exactly how it did when I got it. Then, after a couple minutes of sweeping, I went back inside and the woman working the counter was nowhere to be found (common at this location). I called her on the walkie talkie and she said I could go now without even checking to see if it was clean. I'm pretty sure it was just a scam to get $25 extra from people who won't come 'clean'. Disgraceful. I'll never go back to this location.

I've rented a van from this location before and it was pristine. However, the van that I rented on this date was dirty. The interior was dusty, dashboard had dust & smudges, and the back end of the van was dirty, too. The customer service at this location is excellent & I'd rent there again, but someone forgot to do a thorough cleaning of this van before renting.

Notify me, email and phone, that my original request pickup location doesn’t have my requested vehicle. Both locations were great but I had to uber from one to the other, not fun.

This location was very nice. My issue was that I reserved truck day before and reserved truck in area where I wouldn't be putting extra miles on truck. Two blocks from where I was picking truck up I was called from the 1800 number telling me I'd have to have truck back in few hours as it's rented out early next morning. I asked why I was being called at last minute when I had just called the store where I was picking original truck up at and they said everything was good. So if I wanted truck 24 hrs I had to drive way out my way adding miles on the truck . Why was I not told this before or when I called store to verify rwaeevation? May I get a discount for the extra miles now and I was told no since I only made reservation 24 hrs before and other ppl made weeks and months ahead . Well then when I was asked how long I needed truck and said 24hrs I should of been told then. I'm very upset with how things went and I'm out a lot more money than should be.

Fix your website. I received two confirmation emails. One the day I reserved it and one the day before pick up. The first email had a completely different address from the second email and I went on a wild goose chase. The first email was abandoned with gun shots in the window and you actually have this address listed?

The customer service at this location is excellent. A few weeks ago I rented from the 181st Stor Room & decided not to return because of the lack of friendly customer service from the female employee there. It's a difference of night and day at Fort Knox Mini-Storage. Great guys! I'll be back when I need to rent again.
