Truck was filthy, both in the cab and in the box. There was damage to the box of the truck and I was not able to use the web interface to document it. We had requested 12 blankets but were only supplied six. The person checking the truck back in when we returned was awesome, though, and she deserves a bonus/raise.

Customer service at this location is probably the worst customer service I've ever encountered.


The truck was not cleaned. There was a big pile of used furniture blankets. It was gross.

Some trash from previous users was still in the van. The folks behind the counter at the gas station who helped with pick up and return came off as a bit disgruntled and not very confident with the uhaul process.

Where do I even begin... the attendants have no idea what they're doing and nobody was wearing their mask properly which made me scared for my safety. First, there was no mention of there not being ramps in the truck, which. Plus have been my fault for assuming but it was super frustrating and made everything harder. The woman who gave me the truck didn't mention that the dollys were not preloaded into the truck and have my the keys and when I got to my apartment there were no dollys. I called and she very rudely told me that she told me they were not in the truck which I promise you she did not or I would have grabbed them because moving without dollys or a ramp? Hell. Then when I returned the truck the woman taking my mileage was new and her supervisor was not helping her at all. He was very rude. When I went in and told him I wanted the refund for the dollys it took him 15 minutes to figure out the system to be able to do the refund all while a line of people waited. This was the absolute worst experience and it makes me never want to use a uhaul service ever again.

- Using the app to pick up & return our truck was complete pain. I would take a picture of my license, and then it would just spin- not say "error", or let me start over- just spin. The app experience was so bad, that when returning the truck we tried to do it in-person, in the building, but we were told we have to return it with the app as well!! Absolutely frustrating. - The inside of the truck was really muddy. We were moving our couches and beds so this was completely unacceptable. It obviously wasn't cleaned before we picked it up. - When we ordered the truck, we ordered a smaller hand truck. When we picked up the truck, we were told that they only had the large appliance hand trucks. I asked when the normal hand trucks would be back, and the lady said "I don't know, I just got here". We had to move with the large, awkward hand truck. Why even let us choose it in the drop-down if it's not available?? We will be moving again in a couple months when our new place is ready and I will DEFINITELY be giving my hard earned money to a different van rental company next time.

Tank was not full of gas but I was expected to have a full tank of gas when it was returned. Was told that 4 gallons of gas were used. Incorrect as I did not receive van with a full tank of gas. Will be contacting corporate for refund

Hire someone to be exclusive to u-haul. The staff is clearly trying to do 5 jobs at once which is ridiculous. U-haul should staff their services. Engine sounded like it was going to give out any moment (had to keep foot heavy on break so it did not take off)

It seems the attendants at this location do not have drivers licenses— the most difficult part of pick up was how unreasonably close the vehicles were parked together.

The location is fine. They $20 after hour fee which added 35% to my charges was quite a surprise and a complete rip off. I returned my truck over 12 hours early and was charged extra - this is a Uhaul problem not a location problem.

A different credit card, from the one on reservation was requested to be applied when I initially picked up the rental truck. But it was not applied. Instead the one on reservation got charged. Better observation to what a customer request needs to be observed better. There was difficulty getting the charges reversed.

Self check in took just as long as doing it in person. Took 10 minutes just to be “approved”. Very time consuming. Equipment wasn't clean and still had to go into a store to pick up keys which defeats the purpose of self check in.

Please ask attendants to keep their masks on. My reservation was changed without timely notification. Although I know it's not the fault of the attendant, the company should have a better way to handle it. I ended up spending more for a bigger truck that I didn't need or request in the first place. Usually I have a great experience with this company but will likely not use in the future

The truck smelled so offensive I had to drive the entire time with the windows down the entire time. Within a few min driving it I had to stop at a store to purchase a can of febreeze to spray in the truck just so zi could tolerate driving it any more.

I've been a loyal U-Haul customer for several years but after this last experience I am not sure I'll be back. When I picked up my U-Haul at the 76 Gas Station on NE Broadway the employees were not wearing masks over their faces and noses. As I stood in line over 10 feet away from the women, one of them walked towards me without her mask on. I moved quickly away from her as she left the building to pump someones gas. Two other patrons entered the building and one didn't have a mask on either, no one said anything.. When I opened the U-Haul the cabin was filthy. It was covered in dirt and a sticky substance. It also stunk of Axe Body Spray. I didn't want to go back into the 76 because my initial experience was so traumatizing, so I drove home and immediately showered. The next day, after I drove to my storage unit and opened the back of the truck, I noticed the entire flatbed was covered in dirt and and plant debris. Additionally there was white fluffy stuffing all over the floor as well To top off this mess, the dolly I ordered wasn't in the back of the truck. If you do one good thing for yourself today, DO NOT rent a U-Haul from the people at the 76 on NE Broadway.
