I won’t be recommending renting from U-HAUL to others based on this experience. I am considering filing a complaint with the NYS consumer protection division based on these additional charges.

The truck was clean but old. The emergency brake was stuck on the entire time. The gas gauge was broken too because when I went to fill the tank that was just below the full line, I ended up putting $31 worth of gas in it.

Frank TTrick was at the original location. Got moved to a different location for pickup costing me money for another uber. Then the change set back my schedule and deleted the original drop off location giving me only options that were 45 to 90 minutes away from my destination. Spent about 1.5 hours on misleading or unhelpful phone calls and another hour or more online trying to resolve the issue so I could drop off within 2 miles of my destination. Then the truck return procedure didn’t go as described so I had to spend another half hour on the phone to ensure my return was at least documented in my account. Nothing but headaches all day. Lastly the suspension they claim makes the ride so smooth was not very good with resulted in damage to one of the items I was transporting even though I packed it with extra padding and support. I should have just hired professionals as the added expense would have saved me so much headache.
Bo JAlignment was all off during the drive with our U-Haul, front left headlight didn’t work which was unfortunate when we travel until 3:00am, weather strips on doors/windows in vehicle were nonexistent
