It smelt bad and I returned it with a half a tank and the guy said was 14 mins late even though my return time was 7 I arrived at 645 and I was charged 18$ for the gas , I was at a gas station if they said something I could have added more, feel as if I was over charged and the service was bad.

The truck was dirty. He needed to be serviced by mechanic. The inside was Dusty dirty it had not been cleaned apparently. I've moved several times but this was the nastiest truck that I have ever moved in I had to sweep out the inside before I put my furniture in

Location was not upfront about the mileage and rate. Brought the Uhaul back with a full tank and there was no credit given. The uHaul was given with a half tank of gas. horrible business practices. Will not use Uhaul in the future and intend on sharing my experience on social media.
I prefer to go to the store on Manchester to rent a U-Haul truck than to do business on route 9 south Rd in Poughkeepsie. The U-Haul on south Rd. Gives u false information on the time you have to used and return the truck. Plus they give you rude unprofessional attitude.

Worst Uhual experience Iâ€™ve ever had. Letâ€™s begin with the fact that Uhaul overbooked the truck that I reserved. When I went to pick up my reserved 15â€™ truck I was told that they do not have the inventory. In the lot multiple trucks were available. The counter man told me a employee broke the key off in the drop box and was unable to retrieve the keys. Then I was told they couldnâ€™t help me and I had to call the uhaul 800-number. After waiting on hold for 30 min I was told I had to drive 20 min out of my way to get a truck. After using the truck I called uhaul to see if I was able to drop off the truck to avoid costly miles and tolls. Uhual told me I was unable to bring the truck to any other location except the one I picked up at. Very disappointed in the customer service that was provide and the logistics of how this business is operated. 1 star rating
I loved having the next-door parking lot to swing around and avoid having to back the trailer into its drop-off spot.

I really wish that the salesperson had asked me if I needed a hand truck. I assumed it was in the truck and it definitely hurt our move not having it. When in return the truck j asked him about the hand truck and he said I had to ask for it and rent it. Would have been nice if he asked me if I needed one when in rented it

A gentleman at this location tried to make me put more gas in the tank than the gauge was at originally. I tried to explain to him that I was finishing the reservation process on my phone and had already sent pictures to Uhaul. He claimed that he would close the reservation and I would pay for the gas anyway. I used to go to this location for my Uhauls, I won't be anymore.
I recommend that the receiving location be advised when the customer has a problem or significant delay that affects their move. Apparently, due to a system outage we received our uhaul 4 hours late. The receiving location called me an hour after we received it to confirm and remind us when the deadline is for returns. They should have expected an angry,/stressed customer.....
Did not know how to navigate the process. Sytem was slow, staff was slower. Friendly but not well versed in the proper protocol. Rental process took 30 mins at the start and 10 mins at the close. Would recommend better training at this location. Not a efficient customer experience.

I had a reservation for a cargo van at 4PM. After driving an hour and a half drive I get there and they donâ€™t have anything. A cargo van showed up at 5pm. Then it took until 6pm for them to check the van out to me. Between U-Haul and this location this has been the worst U-Haul experience Iâ€™ve ever had.
Primary problem - I had ordered a 10' truck and the only vehicle available was a 10' van. I had confirmed my order the day before. They had offered me no alternative; and no credit for the inconvenience.The clerks were very nice but since they were also running the convenient store and there was only one clerk, they had to deal with customers for both.
We were overcharged almost $900 for erroneous extra mileage. The woman on the phone was of little help. The person in the morning said to call back in the afternoon; then the person in the afternoon said to call back in the morning. When the issue was resolved (their fault) there was no apology offered. Very poor customer service. The person who helped on the UHaul line was very nice.
Vehicle was old and in rough shape. Cab and box were not clean and arm rest was broken. Vehicle not up to typical Uhaul standards. Store personnel were fine and responsive
