We left the truck front and back clean but did not sweep out. They called and charged us a cleaning fee because we had tracked sawdust inside the drivers side and in the back but there wasn't anywhere we went that had sawdust. It was basically dirt from the floorboard going in and out only on the drivers side. I just paid it but I had no idea it was our obligation to vacuum it out before we took the truck back.

Owners were nice, informative and very helpful. Uhaul over charged us accidentally and I contacted the owners daughter and in just a few minutes, she was able to correct the overcharge and refund me the balance. They had a nice selection of trucks to choose from. I would reccomend doing business here if you want to be treated with respect and kindness!

This location was expensive compared to the UHaul I usually use. In the past I rented the same sized trailer for a week cheaper than what I paid for 3 days of usage.

I was charged an extra days rent for both the trailer (which was returned on Sept 30) and the truck which was returned on the due date because the business was closed Saturday and Sunday. Did not appreciate being penalized due to the hours of operation of the business which were beyond my control.

I started out on a half a tank of gas and returned truck with more gas than it had in it when I picked it up. When I picked up the truck it was at 1/2 tank of gas and when I returned the truck I was between 1/2 & 5/8 so I thought I would get SOME kind of credit for returning truck with MORE gas but I wasn't credited with anything

I have a few comments you may want to consider for improvement. 1) The location did not have the truck I rented through UHaul's website. 2) the location could not change or cancel my reservation because I had used UHaul's website. 3) The clerk at the location could have been friendlier. For further explanation, I provide the following: I reserved a 10' truck for a 2-day rental through U-Haul's website. I was provided a code for after-hours access to the truck, which I needed for an early Saturday am pickup before they opened. Fortunately I went to the facility (that was only a few miles away) the Thursday before my Saturday's reservation only to familiarize myself with the coded key lock. The clerk said they did not have a 10' truck, only a 15' that cost more, and that she couldn't change or cancel my 10' truck reservation because I had done it through U-Haul's website. She instead gave me a number to call to cancel the 10' truck. So I reserved the 15' truck with her, but was told that completing the rental contract now would start the rental period clock, unless I wanted to still do the coded key lock, which would start the period at the time the code was activated. I decided to come back to sign the contract and pick up the 15' truck the next day (Friday) before they close. I was sternly informed that I better be there before 5pm because she "is out of here" at 5 and would not open until 10am Saturday morning. I agreed to be back at 4:30 Friday to sign the contract ad pick up the truck. I also asked her for the insurance and was told there were different levels; one for about $42 and another for about $82. I asked the difference and she quickly went into why insurance was important. I asked if the lower one covered "loss of use". She replied that the lower one covers damage and liability, the higher one also covers medical. I explained that "loss of use" was the period of time that the vehicle may be out of service for damage repairs. She didn't know what I was talking about. I asked for some literature so that I could read the difference of the levels, but she didn't have any. By this time, we were both getting a little annoyed with each other, so I bought the lower rate assuming it covered loss of use, because she did say I would be able to walk away from it for no additional cost if there was an accident. I think her attitude was not very friendly, even after I thanked her for her patience half way through our interaction. After this interaction, I went home and called the number she gave me, and the agent easily cancelled my original 10' truck reservation. I told him the cancellation was due to the facility not having the truck I rented, and that had I not gone there, I would have been in a very bad predicament come early Saturday am when I went to get the truck. He said that U-Haul's policy is to contact the customer prior to pick-up when there is an unavailability issue. I said it was now Thursday

Although our overall UHaul experience was a disaster with our truck reservation being cancelled at the last minute, Natalie at the Sierra Cycle location was absolutely amazing and did her best to sort everything out.

this location decided to price gouge their costumer's because of Burning Man. I wanted to rent 1 way to Susanville, Ca from Quincy, Ca 75 miles away. They wanted to charge me $1,000.00 for a 1 way trip. I had no choice but to go round trip which they also charged me for to the tune of $237.00, I also had to pay double for gas because of the round trip. It's so sad to see that you all tolerate such behavior simply because of the wind fall profit over customer locality. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE???????????
