I can see how the 24/7 capability is nice, but without the proper WiFi service it is impossible. I wanted to pick the truck up at 0730, but due to the poor service I wasn't able to get the truck until 0930 when an employee arrived. Totally unsat!

I’ve rented from U-Haul before, and we’ve always had a good experience until this time. Once I placed my order, I got several confirmations about the pick up location at Cane’s Automotive until just the other day when it told me it was going to be at Scottie’s Fun Spot. I had a reservation for 9:30 that had been confirmed multiple times. When I got there to pick up, the owner of the venue was approaching the door when I noticed it was locked. I said I had a 9:30 reservation for a U-Haul. He said “we don’t open until 10”. He was very rude even after explaining the situation. I wasn’t aware of their specific hours...I just know that I had a 9:30 reservation that had been booked for a week. I had family waiting on me to get the U-Haul to them by 10. By the time they were finally able to figure out what they were doing and after dealing with the rudeness of the owner, I finally left there at almost 10:30, nearly an hour after my pick up time. Not only was the owner terrible, but this was a very strange place to have a U-Haul location being that it has a skating rink, go-carts, a play-place, etc. I would not recommend this location to anyone else. I won’t be doing mobile U-Haul reservations in the future. Instead, I’ll simply be calling my desired pick up location directly to avoid this confusion.

I had bought a trailer hitch/ball during the checkout process and was instructed that it would be at the store for me when I arrived. It was not. The employee apologized and handled it professionally. The location is not near anythings, so I had to drive back into town, purchase another hitch/ball, then drive back to finish checking out. I asked the clerk to refund my purchase, but he said he couldn't. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a refund.

Don't rent out a reserved unit to a walk-in customer and hope that a customer that has a unit out will be returning it on time. I made reservations in Pittsfield where there was a unit in stock at the time. That unit was moved to Quincy the day after I made the reservation and I was informed that I would need to pick up my rental unit in Quincy. This caused me to drive 60 miles further than expected and it wasn't there when I arrived to pick it up. I am very disappointed in U-Haul at this point and doubtful that I will rent from U-Haul in the future. I was credited $50.00 after a lengthy process. I was told that it was my fault that the unit was not available because I was late to pick up the unit. I was told that the unit would be available from 11:15 am to 9:00 pm. I arrived at 7:15 pm and there was no available unit on site. That is no way to do business and is not excusable to blame the customer for this type of error. I don't believe that the error was caused by the staff at Scottie's Fun Spot. I believe that there are very poor communications between the rental reservations department and the rental locations.

This was a horrible Experience I would never recommend using Scotty’s fun spot or any U-Haul if this is how the run a company and I’ll be sure to put on social media they overcharge me lied to me and I try talking to her about it and the lady wouldn’t even listen she said I was wrong she was right they showed up late in the beginning I couldn’t get my key it was just horrible I would like to talk to someone about this if I could. The problem is they give me a discounted receipt and Uhaul still charge me more than my discounted contract on my final credit card billing. I had problems with the ratchet straps they were not working properly and I was suppose to pay 44.95 and Uhaul charged me 52.95 I'm not happy with that at all? Please adjust the charges.

Worst customer experience ever

Took 30 minutes ( with reservation) to get trailer. Person who called after I reserved to tell me the location I had to go to That had a trailer and blankets was incorrect. Renting location had no blankets. Person hooking up the trailer had no idea what the 3rd chain was for....lucky I knew. Opened the door and debris of an old blue tarp was in it. I initially reserved for 6 days but when. I picked up I said it would only be 4. She said it's easier to keep it at 6 and they would refund the difference when I returned it....WRONG. Your boxes say "take plenty...we buy the no-used back.....Wrong.....only at select locations You can improve my signing dealers that know what they are doing, have ALL THE MOVING SUPPLIES, HONOR YOUR SALES PITCH STATEMENTS AT ALL THE LOCATIONS AND BE EASY TO PICKUP AND RETURN...IF ITS early you just get charged for the use. Your company couldn't have made this experience worse. The only good point was at the return those guys cared...but your BS of company policies the their hands. I would have rated excellent except there was confusion all around on our order. We reserved 26' and it was changed to 20'. We were then told to return to another spot, but when we picked up the truck, we were informed that would cost more. We reserved 2 days, but the gentleman who waited on us said we would be charged for 3. My husband was so upset we rushed the moving process and returned early. In the end we were charged the same amount for a 20' that we would have paid for a 26'. Not sure who is at fault here but over all not a great experience with U-Haul this time.

I had an issue getting the truck at first from a different location. (It was a Shell on Maine St in Quincy, IL, I can't recall the address exactly). The website allowed me to reserve it and when I went to pick it up, it was not available. Fixing this type of problem would be great because it was extremely inconvenient.
