Misstated mileage out on contract by one mile. Corrected with pen, but still charged me .99 cents for that extra mile. Cab filled with dog hair. Poor customer service.

When I had called prior to my appointment to ask some questions, I was a bit taken aback because the representative answered very bluntly and gruffly. However, on the day of, the representatives there were super nice and helpful; jovial with a great sense of humor. When I was worried I would need more time (and hadn't reserved it for more), the worker just reserved the van for me for the whole day! When we came back, the person at the desk (someone different) was still great; he just checked the mileage and calculated the price. He didn't ask us to refill the gas or anything, but that may be because we drove a tiny distance. Great first time Uhaul experience overall! For frame of reference: I rented the 9-foot van to move a one bedroom (only used half the van); used only six miles, no other equipment rented. The total was around $37.

Small place, not well marked to know where you bring your equipment. John, at the front desk was rude and not helpful whatsoever. All and all, not a great representation for the UHaul brand.

The staff here spent over 1 hour to hand me over the truck because he was not familiar with the system. I was the first customers but he somehow could not figure out a problem in the computer system for 1 hour. In addition, the drop off location printed on the receipt was not I selected online. I asked him about it and he told me to just drop the truck off at the location I desired. Later, when I dropped the truck off, I found that I had to pay extra to drop off at a different location. Then, I drove 35 mins to the 'correct' location.

Online I had indicated I didn't want insurance rider as I had one. I had to pay for it anyway. I drove a total of 20.7 miles and when I got back ( less than 4 hours later ) they said I had traveled over 200 miles because the paperwork was apparently filled out wrong from the previous location. So while they were good in fixing it fast - I had to wait for them to fix it and it shouldn't have happened to begin with.

i ordered a 26' truck and flat screen TV boxes at the Weymouth MA location. With no way to haul the boxes, and Weymouth didn't have a pickup (even though it showed avail online) I had to rent one in Quincy., as i was scheduled to pick up the 26' june 1..needed to pack the cvs prior. When i arrived to get the boxes they were out..but on my order. Then i get a call from Uhaul telling me that i can't pick the 26' up from Weymouth..have to go to Abington. Called Abington about the boxes i paid for but didn't get and they tell me i have to get a refund from Weymouth and buy from them. Nothing about this is good

Good Morning, This was one of the worst U-Haul experiences I have ever had in my life. I was very pleased with the ability to reserve a trunk last minute on a Sunday and be able to change my reservation to accommodate my needs. However, this is where my satisfaction with this U-Haul experience ends. Who’s arriving at the site for pick up I was met with an attendant who was very apathetic to the point of not caring that he got my return time incorrect. The Paperwork was signed and I was giving the keys and was told the vehicle was generally point out to be "over there." If not for the Key fob I wouldn't have been able to find the Van quickly. Furthermore the vehicle was parked between vehicles which made it almost impossible to move it without hitting other, Non-U-Haul, vehicles. If I wasn't an experiences driver I would have surely been filing a claim. The vehicle was not clean and no check was performed by the attendant to insure the vehicle was noted for any pre-existing damage. Prior to returning the vehicle to the site, as I always do, I filled the gas tank to full as per the contract. When I returned the vehicle to the site I was forced to add gas to the tank from the sites gas pump, despite my proof and argument that I had filled the gas tank only 10 mins prior to dropping it off and was force to add gas, which only added less than a gallon of gas of the sites pump, which is always at least .30 cent greater than surrounding gas stations. The excuse I was given for this was to make sure the next person who rents the truck has a full tank and that the Van has a Slow tank and needs to be filled slow and isn’t full. However, when I filled the tank it filled for $10 of gas which does not support reasons this attendant used to squeeze an extra $2.50 out of me. I was also chastised by the attendant for driving “almost 100 miles.” With respect, it is none of the attendants business how far I have driven or when I went, as long as I abide by the conditions of the contract I have with U-Haul. Plus I cleaned the vehicle better than how I received it. At this time I truly believe I will never use this U-Haul provider ever again and will be apprehensive of using U-Haul in Massachusetts if this is how these sites will be operated. V/r Pasquale R.
