The truck was dirty inside on pick-up. We noted it as such in the app and snapped a pic. At the drop off, we were asked if the truck was dirty inside, we noted it as yes, as it was returned exactly as we picked it up. U-Haul then wanted to charge us a $25 clean-up fee?!?! Guess what, we’re not cleaning up your dirty truck!

When booked online I did decline CDW, yet was charged for it
Viktor GMy experience was negative for two reasons. The first reason is not related to the location but to the Uhaul app. The location only opens at 10am and I needed to start my move before that, so I scheduled a pickup at 8am. I arrived on time but wasn't able to leave until 45 minutes later due to many delays with the app. First, after I had entered all of my information in a 5 step process and tapped submit, the app simply informed that there was an error and I had to try again. I am a software developer. When there is an error, you need to tell the user what happened and how to fix the problem. Simply saying that there was an error is not acceptable. On my own, I believe I found that the app wanted me to put a space in the postal code, but this should have been communicated clearly. I wasted a great deal of time entering all of the information again. My second issue was that when I had finally completed the check-in steps and gotten the code for the lockbox with the key, the box would not open. I tried everything I could think of and finally called the help phone number provided in the app. The woman who answered the phone asked a few questions, looked up something on her end and then gave me a different code for the lockbox. The new code worked. Providing the wrong code in the first place though is also unacceptable.
TREVOR KThe rental / vehicle worked. On mobile pick up, apparently a key box code was not set up for the vehicle, and had to call U-Haul customer service to switch to a larger vehicle, while the original equipment was clearly sitting there. That took extra 15 min and higher mileage cost.
