Location and people working them were great. Uhaul booking process SUCKS!!!! I made a reservation on-line, and I checked in early. When I arrived on-site, they told me Uhaul had moved my reservation to some other location, and that I was supposed to have gotten a call. No call was received. I was stuck with a rental that didn't quite fit my needs and it took 35 minutes to get everything worked out for a supposedly already checked in rental. Uhaul is wasting to much of my precious time with cumbersome check in process and long lines. I suggest you look at the experience of an Avis preferred rental customer as a target. You come in, get your rental, verify your identity matches the personal information on file for the account, and you are out in minimal time.

The employee assisting us with our truck rental was very rude. He had an attitude, rolled his eyes while we were speaking with him, and acted as if he didn't want us in his presence. I will never rent or refer someone to this location. What a horrible experience.

I had a reservation for a truck for a month and not until I showed up was I told there wasn’t a truck for me anymore. I was directed by uhaul employees to go to three more different U-Haul locations, given the complete run around, before someone could give me the truck. Once I got the truck to my apt I noticed I was never even given the dolly that I had rented either. My movers that I contracted for three hours, that were highly recommended by uhaul, also showed up two hours late and only stayed for an hour. My 78 year old father and I had to move most all of my belongings into my third floor walk up apt all on our own. The movers also demanded I give them the code and pay the full amount. Relocating to a different city is stressful enough and uhaul made this an absolute terrible experience. I will more than likely never use uhaul again. This was the single most disappointing experience I have ever had with any business of any kind.

Do not split the order. I was supposed to pick up a truck and tow dolly. The order was split between 2 locations, miles apart. It just so happened that the Midlothian store could fill the order, with some call in help. Took very long to get order straight, but it worked out and actually saved me from driving all over Richmond.

Trying to drop trailer off- Total pain in the ass! Web site does not work as per instructions on folder. NOBODY will answer the damn phone, elevator music and hold, once for over 22:00 minutes before I hung up. Evidently only one customer service rep employed by UHaul nation wide, because got “with another customer” numerous times over two days!

Your personnel was very professional and helpful. I reserved this equipment at a location close to my residence. I reserved the equipment a week in advance. I was disappointed that the equipment was not at that location on my desire date. I even called your customer service and was told that U-Haul does not transfer equipment for the convenience of its customers. I was extremely disappointed to hear that U-Haul was not willing to make my experience more convenient. For this reason I will probably never use U-Haul again.

I did not appreciate the fact that when I went to pick up the truck the Rep. told me that the mileage charge was incorrect and that it should have been $1.69 or $1.89(can't exactly remember the exactly price he quoted) per mile on the weekends and he did not how I was being charged that amount. I then informed him I made my reservation online for the $19.95 truck at .89 per mile and that is what I expect to pay. Needless to say I did get the online rate. For future reference, If there is a problem with pricing and it is on the Company, no employee should ever make the customer feel like they are responsible for the Companies error. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF AND REPORT YOU FINDINGS TO CORPORATE FOR RESOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The truck that I got was very old. The steering wheel was not aligned properly, gas from exhaust sneaked into the driving cabin, and the truck jerked every time I stepped on the gas. Store location was very good, service was good enough, clean truck, but the driving aspect of the truck was really bad.
