I would have preferred if the truck gas tank was full when I picked it up. That means it is ready for me to use and its easier to bring back full than guess at 3/8ths of tank.

Find a rental agent with better computer skills so it doesn't take so long to rent. Keep a second key for the trucks at the rental agency for emergency.

ICheck-in was a very slow process, allegedly due to software glitches. The gas tank was not full when I got the van. I put almost 4 gallons of gas into it when I returned it. I only went 19 miles. The dashboard showed that the Van averaged 17.4 miles per gallon. I should only put 1 gallon of gas in it. My mistake! Renter beware!

The agent tried to charge us for equipment we did not rent, for fuel even though we filled up the tank. We had to tell him that he was wrong and he went back out and saw that the gas was as we stated. He then said he was looking at a different gauge. The amount due was way off, when I asked if it was due to being over the mileage, he said yes. He didn’t print the receipt, he emailed it to me and that’s when I saw all the bogus charges that shouldn’t had been there. Never again!

I reserved a van online, entered license, credit card number, pre-checked in, I really tried to make this process as fast as possible. All that was left was getting the key. We walk in, a nice old man finds us in the computer right away. However, that was followed almost an hour of not being able to work the computer/not knowing where the keys to the van were (if you have kids, think Zootopia DMV sloths). He tried, he really did and was very apologetic about the delay. But we left our toddler with a sitter to move the bed (what the van was for), and we did not have an extra hour to spend in a uhaul storage facility. We left feeling shocked it wasn't dark out yet.



I have no negative comments. Staff was courteous and speedy in setting up the rental agreement. The van was clean ready when requested.

At Robious mini storage in Richmond VA: The two cashiers I encountered were very rude and “matter of fact” like. I ordered a 10 foot truck and was given a 15 foot without being told. As a young woman in my early twenties I was unaware of what I was signing and by then it was too late, being they seemed to know what they were talking about. I was not told of a different price which was $19.95. While driving the truck the transmission went out twice, causing me to have to drive more miles than intended to meet with my husband for him to take a look. When this happened the store was closed so I was unable to get in contact with anyone. After a long day I dropped the truck off, forgetting to fill up the truck. Immediately following, I realized that gas was forgotten and tried to get the key out of the drop box but was unsuccessful. After this, my husband went to the store 5 minutes after their opening preparing to go fill it up and erase our mistake and talk about the transmission. Upon arriving and waiting 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge my husband, the men told him nothing could be done because he is not the holder of the card on file. When I called I was told as well that There is nothing they can do. I looked at my account and I was charged 137.00 dollars for my uhaul rental. I drove 60 miles, so I am positive I was taken advantage of. I am a college student, and would not have agreed to that extravagant amount to which I can not afford. My service was awful and I will not be returning to uhaul. Absolutely horrible

The online experience was decent, the store owner was nice, uhaul fine... The one major issue is the communication between the online rental and the office hours. I went to pick truck up at 9am, and they didn't open until 12pm, so I had to call and wait for owner to come in and get me "checked in". So need better networking between the online computers system and letting people know if there is a truck available, as to what time you can actually go there and pick it up. Overall, not a major problem, but wouldn't want to do it again. knowing I had movers waiting on me, and not knowing if I could get the truck I had previously reserved the previous day.

The cab was a bit dirty and the mom's attic was leaking; otherwise it was fine. I'm a bit disappointed that we got charged for 1.7 gallons of gas when we had already filled it up to the requested 3/4 tank. Not to mention the fact that the movers we booked via NEVER showed up. And now I'm struggling to get my money back--you should really consider having some sort of customer service team for that website to handle situations like this

Don't use the online system. It was extremely time consuming and highly frustrating. They need to be open at appropriate hours for their customers instead of relying on the awful online system. We will never use that again

The retired Uhaul attendant was left alone and not trained. Hours before I arrived at the location, I checked in online in order to "save myself 20 minutes" but due to the attendants lack of training I spent over an hour trying to get out the door. The attendant was pleasant, this was not his fault. it was the lack of competent management of the facility that caused this unacceptable situation. The attendant had made several phone calls to ask for assistance, and no one called him back. he was not left with a training aid, or walkthrough document, we tried to click through the screens ourselves, but reached an impasse as neither of us had been trained on the system. he then called the 1800# and someone took over his computer and completed the process to issue me the truck that I had already paid for and checked out online hours earlier. the delay in obtaining the truck, caused a chain reaction which caused me to be late arriving at the storage facility and increased costs with the movers waiting at the storage unit. I am very disappointed in this interaction and will not recommend or use this service again.
