I originally reserved a trailer at the Lombardy Street location for 9:15 AM pickup. When I arrived a bit later that morning, I was told my reservation had already been given away and reassigned to Nine Mile Road — a policy I was never made aware of anywhere during booking. This location was not my choice; I ended up here only because Lombardy Street gave away my reservation without warning. Once I got to Nine Mile Road, the equipment I received had a significant electrical short affecting the trailer lights (left turn signal, brake, and running lights), which was not caught during check-out and only discovered after we got the trailer home — putting us in an unsafe, non-compliant towing situation. When I tried calling the location multiple times to report the issue, no one answered the phone. Staff at check-out were indifferent and rushed through the process without much engagement. I was also charged $35 cash for a TV moving box that is listed online at $29.95, and never received a receipt for that transaction.

Dolly was not provided. Providing what was paid for would be ideal. A double authorization hold is also not ideal
Noah HBecause this was also a garage, there was one person doing work on cars and taking care of U-Haul business. He navigated it well, but it would help him if there was one person dedicated to U-Haul customers when they showed up so that this one guy didn’t have to go back-and-forth between his work on a car and dealing with customers. Everything was smooth; it just took a little longer. Very minor thing, in my opinion, but if there is one thing, it would be just get him a little more help to manage both parts.
