There was no real place to drop off the trailer except on the street, and the guy who was working that Sunday morning didn't know how to get the trailer off the truck!

I was taken care of quickly but when I picked the truck up it had not been cleaned out from the prior user. Windows were dirty, inside needed some floorboard cleaning/sweeping out. This part has nothing to do with the location. I was disappointed that there wasn't any cruise control and the cabin behind the wheel is rather cramped. I am 6'9" and it was the most uncomfortable 6 hour drive for me. I dealt with it though because I had to. I have used other rental companies and they seemed to have a little more room and/or cruise control. Wonder why U-Haul doesn't. I chose uhaul this time because it was the least expensive at the time. The vehicle itself was the right size for my moving purposes and I liked the power of the V-8. It was fairly good on gas considering the size of the engine.

Employees are not knowledgeable of the moving products they intend to sell and are not adhering to uhauls box pricing. I personally watched the employee stick the safety certification sticker on the truck upon rental which tells me she did not inspect the truck prior. The light in the cargo box didn't work. Employees called me a day after I night dropped the truck and asked when I'm going to return it. The following day they called me accusing me of taking the dolly. In 20 years of experience renting and working with uhaul this is the first problem I've ever had which tells me it's not uhaul that is the problem, it's this specific independent dealer and thier lack of caring and training.

Lucy in the Ridgecrest, CA 93555 office took the time to show us the operation of the truck. How to lift and lock the lift door. Where and how to use the tie downs. Proper use of the ramp to insure safe loading.

The lady after taking payment sent us on our way. No pre tow inspection or verify towing hitch. Nor did they attach it or check electrical. We had to you tube how to do it and I bruised my knee badly doing it. The guy we dropped it off to said chain to tight and could of broke. I was very upset about this. Explain to me how they can be an authorized dealer ?

Stella At United Renta Car helped us! We got to the business and discovered the trailer had been scheduled drop off at the other Uhaul yard which was closed on Sunday! She was great and so was corporate! Thanks again Stella and U-Haul P.S. Stella said the folks at Cajalco Temescal Storage Center had done a great job with the chains and trailer hitch!

I was told I would pay $10.00 for the rental of the dolly. I had it for an extra day. I expected itvwould be an additional $10. My total price ended up beong $32.44. This doesn't seem like much. But I am a full time student and mother of 3 young kids. So, for me it was a lot. I am absolutely dissatisfied and will actually encourage others not to go to this location ever. Regardless of the ignorance of the employee, I still had to pay more than the agreed price.

When I called in as I approached Ridgecrest, the person in charge said that she would not assist with unhitching the car dolly from the truck, or even instruct me how to do it by myself. She said that she could not offer any assistance because of "liability," and she would would have to call a single U-Haul "authorized" agent who may or may not even be in town to assist me. I never got a call back, so I called the other U-Haul location in Ridgecrest at the hardware store where I was told, "Sure, no problem," and a young man there unhitched the car dolly promptly and professionally upon my arrival. United Rent-A-Car is a HORRIBLE nitpicky bureaucratic place that gives U-Haul a really bad unhelpful reputation.

2nd time to rent from this same city location 1st time went fine reserved by phone though national number but 2nd time went there directly Giving trip details and person wrote it up for that day when I Specifically said I would be picking it up the following afternoon I showed up the following afternoon to find out my Rental started the day before and I was moving elderly people and not sure on the time line for the move they indicated that it would be easier to leave the contract the way it was and not have to credit and charge my card again which I really wouldn't be bothered by and then said if you have a problem on the other end - by going 1 day over the allotted time have them contact us In the end I made trip in 5 days without requiring a 6th but not happy with the procedure
