When I first reserved the dolly and truck I was told the price was 19.95 for the truck and 45.00 for the dolly. I them the person after we talked for a minute the I wanted to drop the truck and dolly off in Lancaster. She said no problem and there would be no price change. It was also .99 a mile. When I went to get the truck it ended up costing over 200.00 by the time we walked out the door. When I did the check list of the truck. the gas wasn't right where it was on the paper work. So the guy that was outside with me changed it on my paper work. and he signed it.

Trailer tires were not properly inflated. One tire was worn and nearly flat. I only realized this after loading and it took two road service visits to get a good tire on that would hold pressure.

It took about 25 minutes for the store manager to complete the computerized rental agreement, including calls to U-Haul for help. You need a fast, simple system.

I filled up at the local gas station. When the lever clicked the gas station warning signs say do not top it off, so I did not. I received a call on Monday saying I could either pay $49 or come it and fill the tank. I went in and "topped it off," approximately 0.8 gallons. Very unfriendly service, when I try to do the right thing and get hammered for it anyway.

My complaint is with the measurement of fuel usage. I drove a TOTAL of 4 miles from start to finish, so I poured a gallon of gas in the tank from home before I returned the truck. When I turned it in the picture of the gauge dropped one increment. With a 40 gallon tank and only 16 increments to measure from on the measurement photo it means an increment can only get within 2.5 gallons of accuracy. I had to drive back to the gas station and put more fuel in. I think your system of measuring is very inaccurate and subjective. I was upset that I had to re-fuel. It tells me the truck either got only about 2 miles to the gallon or your measuring system is not very accurate.

We returned the trailer after 3 days of use and kept the appliance dolly for 4 days. Even though we paid for 5 days for the trailer and appliance dolly, we were contacted several times by the U-haul agents that they could not check us in until we returned the appliance dolly with the trailer. They wanted to rent out the trailer that was still ours. I felt harrassed by the company.

The first load when I needed an appliance dolley (that was booked) they did not have one to issue out. I have rented two trucks from this location, once the truck was on 7/8 for fuel, the second truck was only 1/4. At 1/4 it could not even make it to the next big town to get gas, so the gas costs me $3,59 (vice $2.99) per gallon. Please top off all trucks before you issue them out.

When picking up or droping off, the time for trackinging for daily charges should be better. I picked up the trailer at 3:18 pm (resv. for 4 pm). The computer had clocked up a 2 day rental fee at that point and I was not even hooked up to the trailer yet (I was told the system rounds down), the counter person corrected the snafu. Then when I returned the trailer at 3:12 pm within the rental agreement time frame, the computer tacked on ANOTHER RENTAL DAY. The people at the rental center corrected this one too, but if I was not paying attention when I droped off the trailer and did not ask why the price was higher then what I was told when I picked up the trailer. I could have been charged extra days. If someone was coming in from a one way trip and droping off equipment, not paying attention and then was charged an extra day because of a computer glitch, that is not good. other than that, equipment was good and counter people good Thank you (just my 2 cents)

1) The online reservation said a trailer was available. An hour later, central reservations called and said there was no trailer available. After agreeing to a truck I was charged more and the attendant failed to extend the reservation (since I was paying extra for a truck, I decided to rearrange my schedule). 2) The lot attendant was a little rude and failed to mark that the front bumper had large scrapes.

The receiving personnel was a little cocky...and not as helpful as the Long Beach personnel. Ridgecrest is very small and this is one of two drop offs and I really would like to experience the other...

No one checked to make sure the equipment was connected properly or checked the brake lights and turn signals. The boy who connected the trailer connected the hitch and then drove off on his forklift. We checked lights before we left the parking lot, but we never felt any braking system on the trailer.

The instructions on how to operate the machinery need to be given. I had to pull them out of the man giving the machine. The first truck had a warning light that I didn't learn about until I turned it on to leave. The guy who had driven it out for me didn't say a word about it. Also, a book on what the warning lights indicate would be nice or at least some guidance. I'll bet I could've saved you folks a transmission if I had known more about the truck.

This place has only one check out and I had to wait over 30 minutes for check out and 45 minutes to check back in. This is rediculous for an established business. They need more than one person at the cash register, I'll never go back to this establishment.

I did not care for the fact that I had to inspect the truck and make nnotes of any dents, marks, etc. I also did not care for the fact that you hold $70 on my card for a 24.95 truck. I also wanted to rent an 11.00 ramp and the clerk told me they were holding 50.00 and I said forget it! Not very happy with all the funds you wanted to hold......
