I rent 2 or 3 times a week for my staging company. This is the first time I rented from this location. NEVER AGAIN. The back of the truck (not to mention the cab of the truck) was the absolute filthiest I’ve ever seen. They clearly didn’t check the back as there were also 2 dirty dollies rolling around the back that I didn’t order. DO NOT RESERVE FROM THIS LOCATION. Drive down Frederick towards Gaithersburg and you will find 2 other very decent locations

This was the worst experience I have had with picking up a U-Haul truck. I arrived at my pick-up time and informed the person working there that I had a reservation for a truck. He said nothing and pointed at a sign in the window. The sign said to add emergency contacts. I looked in my U-Haul account and my reservation, and no where did it have for me to put in emergency contacts. On my end I had everything done. I kept asking the person working if he could explain what is needed, because on my end it shows I'm all set. He kept just pointing to the sign and told me to read it. I said I did, but no where on my end does it have a place for me to put in emergency contacts, so what do you want me to do. He showed me a computer and showed my name was green, which he said meant I wasn't complete. I said I have done all that I can on my end, my U-Haul account and reservation are showing me I'm good to go. This person insisted I wasn't complete and wouldn't assist any further. He said he doesn't work for U-Haul so he doesn't know anything. I got very frustrated and gave my phone to my boyfriend and left the Exxon and waited in my car where I cried for 10 minutes while my boyfriend still tried getting the truck I reserved. The person working at the Exxon then began telling my boyfriend that I was crazy and talk too much, and suggested that my boyfriend get rid of me since I am not his wife yet. This man said many horrible things about me to my boyfriend, all because I was confused and asked for help which he couldn't provide. My boyfriend finally got the keys to the truck, and when we opened it it didn't have any dollies, which I reserved two. One furniture dolly, one utility dolly. My boyfriend went back in to ask about the dollies, and the man said he didn't have any dollies and we had to go to another U-Haul place to get them. I proceeded to go to two different U-Haul locations, where at the second one they were able to provide me with the dollies I reserved. The truck was also very dirty and there were items left behind from previous users, like make-up and batteries. U-Haul should stop business with this Exxon because the people that work there don't know anything about U-Haul, are rude, unhelpful, and sexist toward women.
TIMOTHY MUnable to rent vehicle at designated reservation time. Reservation system incorrectly indicated that vehicle was inaccessible when in fact it was not. Took 3 phone calls and over an hour for UHaul to resolve the issue. Vehicle was filthy. Return process was cumbersome. Awful overall experience
Scott MQuick and friendly pickup. Also, helpful in orienting me to the van and what was required of me. Helpful quick and friendly with the drop off. It took 2 minutes. Nice van, good location.
Richard JDisaster. I already filed a complaint online so I won’t be typing it all out here. If they don’t compensate me I will never be using U-Haul again.
