The only issues was that we left a credit card number but told them we would we paying with cash when we brought the trailer back , so please don’t run the card They did run the card so it was double paid. But they solved it quickly the next day. Everything else was great!!!!!

Repeat customer here but I'm having second thoughts about U-Haul as a company. The clerk treated me very well as your clerks usually do and this location is great. No problems there. The clerk gave me the option to return the trailer by end of day or to keep it for 24 hours. I told him go ahead and sign me up for the 24 hours if it was the same price. He said no problem, it's the same price and I thought he noted the contract accordingly. Here's my problem; Later that day I noticed there was a mistake and the due date on my contract stated the trailer was due back the same day. Probably just an oversight and shouldn't be a big deal in my case. I immediately called the office (Not knowing my call would actually be forwarded to a call-center or another branch, not the branch I picked the trailer up from) to confirm the mistake and to be sure it was still okay to keep the trailer until the following business day. I was immediately reprimanded and treated extremely unprofessionally by a gentleman I'd never met named Michael Dale. Mr. Dale initially said it wouldn't be a problem or cost more money. Then before allowing me a second to explain what happened, he then proceeded to tell me very condescendingly, that next time I rent something from U-Haul, I need to make sure I tell the clerk I want to keep the equipment for the full 24 hours. Cutting me off further and still not letting me speak, he went further on about how I am the one that caused the problem, (No real problem, just a simple mistake) then retracted his original statement about the payment and said, "Ok sir, I can change your rental contract but it will cost an additional $40-some dollars." After this unnecessary 3 minute lecture from this joker, followed by this unnecessary request for more money, I immediately told Mr. Dale to forget it, that you guys apparently suck and that I would return the trailer immediately. I then hung up the phone and drove directly to the branch to see what was really going on. Once I arrived at the branch the clerk greeted me very professionally and seemed baffled and stated it was not a problem, simple mistake, said I should not have been asked for more money or spoke to that way and that I could absolutely keep the trailer until the following business day. (24 hours) He mentioned that their calls were being forwarded that day and that he was sorry I was treated that way over the phone. He saw a few notes that Mr. Dale had put on the account from the phone conversation. So that was that. Simple solution. I should not have had to drive down there to obtain resolution and I shoujld not have been asked for more money or treated poorly. So my question for U-Haul is who is this Michael Dale character and who the hell does he think he is? Why would Mr. Dale treat a customer so poorly and then ask for their money when it was not necessary? Note also, my passenger in our tow vehicle heard this entire phone conversation and was there when I

live one block from uhaul rented a trailer, HAD TO BUY A BALL HITCH to connect to my truck. Could not get into my driveway or park in the street because the neighbor had friends over or something. Called and reserved a truck, brought trailer back and within 30 to 40 minutes. No matter what I said they would not take the BALL HITCH back. I even told them I would never buy this kind if I was out buying one, didn't matter, they didn't blink an eye and refused to take it back. As far as I'm concerned, they lost a repeating customer. Because of this experience I will never return to uhaul.

I did have to wait in line for nearly 20 minutes when I arrived, which was a bit frustrating since I had reserved my truck earlier and there were several others in front of me who had not. I would suggest one line for customers who did reserve in advance, since that would speed up their transactions and provide a better experience.

The engine smelled like it was burning through oil. The rep didn't seem concerned when I mentioned it at return. I drove 15 miles and paid for 3 gallons of gas to refill the tank on a 10 foot truck. The exterior was dirty which made it difficult to note damage. The blankets I requested were not put in the truck and by the time I realized it was too late to return and pick them up. Had to make do.

I guess i needed to request ahead of time to have a ramp and no trailer hitch, made it really difficult to load and unload. The wait time at this location was quite long.

Positive: Customer service was excellent, equipment was ready and issued/returned in a timely manner, and agents ensured everything was explained in detail. Equipment was serviceable and in full working order (no innoperable lights, good a/c, etc.). Needs improvement: Truck interior was only clean of debris; needed a full detail to remove spilled drink residue and general filth. Auto transporter had sections covered in motor oil...could have used a thorough pressure washing.
