Ordered a 10 foot truck in advance. Received an email the day before moving saying the truck I reserved was not available and the online system missed up. They could not find another 10 foot truck so I had to get the Cargo Van and make four trips to Lakeville. Told me I could not drop it off at a uhaul in Lakeville so I had to drive the uhaul back to St. Paul.

The rental process was horrible. There was a mistake with our reservation that could not be resolved. We returned the truck without even using it.

Change your website to be able to load up pictures of the dashboard when you get home. The sales associate didn't make it clear you had to take the picture in the truck with the Uhaul truck.

Wow. Uhaul has gotten it. Renting a 17x van was easy as Hertz Gold service. I got the van at 8a thru the app, no wait in line, some confusion on sending pictures of license and headshot, but nicely done. Return was easy, too. Drop off the keys and bill was emailed. Again, no wait in line. One less hassle on moving day!

When done, I filled with gas. Employee said I had not filled. I'm 69 years old, have rented trucks for years, always filled with gas, and never been told I hadn't, until this time.

To have the required extra equipment on the web. My visa card didn't work there. It's been the only place that hasn't worked. The rest is fine.

Staff were helpful. On line check in was not.

Can't think of a thing. Great service!

I feel that the staff should go out to the truck with you when you pick it up so see the nicks and dents and write them down. do not rely on just what i see, since i may miss something. 2 sets of eyes are better then one.

When I signed up online, I specifically did not choose any level of insurance or coverage. My estimate was less than $30. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, they had snuck into the contract a $14 coverage. My trip was literally less than 10 miles and I have rental coverage on my car insurance. I did NOT want $14 for a half day rental. The staff barely acknowledged me when I arrived, then very hurriedly presented me with things to sign. I didn't discover they added this charge until I dropped the vehicle off, after hours. Using the app to check the vehicle off, I selected that I disagreed with the charges and stated why. It said I would be contacted by someone within 48 hours. Several days went by without word and finally I received a receipt and charge for the full amount, nearly $50. I'm so disappointed by this experience.

The employee that helped me was very friendly but she spoke really too fast for me to catch everything she said.

Very fast and efficient service and no headaches in the rental process. Only downside was I had pre-rented a 4 wheel dolly online and when I arrived there were non left as someone rented a large amount. We were hoping to rely on that to save our backs.

Express online check in was not quicker. Online directions were not clear - the first truck listed was not where it should be, and the actual check-in process took 15 minutes! Checking the truck back in was a little quicker but there was no clear instructions on where the drop box was for the key.

My first time using this location and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was pleasant and friendly.

Please make it explicit before leaving that customers are required to refuel the truck whether or not fuel gauge actually goes down at all.

The odometer at checkout was not correctly reflected on the contract. I mentioned this before taking the equipment and was told that happens when staging vehicles and I should make a note on the contract at return. I did, but was still charged for the extra mileage. It wasn't much, but if you charge by the mile, it should be done accurately.

I have rented 3 times in the past month and each time the truck has been cleaned and ready, the person at the desk has been extremely helpful and I am so grateful!

The process for getting the truck before opening hours did not work. I called the U-Haul customer service at 10:30pm the night before my pick-up date because I had not received any information about how to pick-up the truck. The rep told me I should receive an email with instructions. I explained that my truck should be ready by 7:00am, and that we were less than 12 hours before the pick-up time, but he assured me I would receive an email with instructions before then. On pick-up day (June 2nd) at 7:30am, I still had not received an email with instructions. I called the U-Haul customer service line again. Again, I was assured that I should receive an email with instructions. I confirmed that I had not received an email with instructions and the rep then asked me if I had downloaded the U-Haul App. I had not. (To be clear: No email, message, or rep had told me I needed to download an app in order to pick up the truck up until this point.) So I downloaded the U-Haul app on the way to pick up the truck. When I arrived, I had the app open and the "Pick Up My Truck" button was greyed out. I could not select that option. I called the U-Haul service center again to receive further instruction. When I spoke with the rep they told me I should have received an email and that the app should be working. We troubleshooted some options: Is the location services on? Do I have the right app? What am I seeing on the screen? etc. Ultimately, the service rep told me to click out of the app and that she would "reset" it on her end. After she "reset" the app, the "Pick up my truck" option appeared and I was able to continue with the check-in process. As I was getting started, however, an actual person showed up and told me she could help me get access to my truck. I was really grateful for the help at that point because my experience with the virtual check-in process was a total dud. My best guess is that my email may not have been logged correctly, and I therefore did not receive any of the necessary U-Haul information in advance, like I was told I would.

Because my rental was on a holiday weekend when the facility was closed I reserved online and used the after-hours pick-up and drop-off procedure. I was asked to guess when I could return the truck, and I estimated 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. The project took longer than anticipated and I returned the truck at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. I was charged for an additional day's rental because I underestimated by an hour. When I called the rental facility to complain I was told that with the after-hours rental it was conceivable that someone else could have had the truck reserved later that night. Right! She could not/would not offer a refund of the extra day plus fees. I was told to call U-Haul's "customer service" line. I gave that a try and sat on hold for 10 minutes while listening to repeated recordings telling me to write a review. I have rented from U-Haul at least 4 times in a little over a year for business and personal reasons. I have never been treated like this before, and it will be the last time. Future rentals will be done with other companies.
