7th Street Storage staff was terrific. 5 stars for 7th Street Storage!!!!! HOWEVER, UHaul staff at Como Avenue and on the phone have been less than! 0 Stars for them, which is why I rated this review as “poor.” I requested Como Avenue only to be given 7th Street without my knowledge. The guy who called me after my reservation was made called me to tell me about contactless pickup. I was on a call and couldn't take it. I received a text and email, but because of what he said to me (contactless pickup), I was looking for information on how to do contactless pickup. Didn't even occur to me to look at the location change. Even when I called UHaul the day before, the rep didn't say anything about the change in location. I provided her with only my reservation number and she said that I would have no issues with picking up the truck at the counter at the Como Avenue location, never letting me know that that was not the actual pickup location. So I get to Como and they tell me I have to go to 7th Street, which isn't that nearby, especially as I had to drive to White Bear Lake, the opposite direction. And had movers waiting an hour for me there. Then Matt, the rep I just spoke with, is stingy about giving me a refund for 25 miles. Talk about salt on the wound. My moving day was lengthened by over an hour, and I had to pay the movers for one hour of time while they waited for me. UHaul gets 0 stars!!!! So I'd give UHaul 0 stars for this. Yup. 0.


Your online return process has failed me for my last two rentals. it's frustrating and I end up just leaving the keys in the drop box. Fortunately, this location takes care of the return quickly and correctly. "Failed" means I get to a spot in the process where I am supposed to submit a photo, I take the photo, "OK" it and the process stalls. I can't continue. I don't know if I can go back. I end up abandoning the process.

I will never rent from Uhaul again. I received a call and text the day before saying my pick up location had changed and I should call back to confirm. I called the number three times and no answer. I arrived at 7th street Storage for Uhaul pick up and the gate was open so I pulled in. I located the truck but was unable to get keys. I tried the app and checked all my emails, uploaded my phot and ID…again. I waited and waited I then called Uhaul and thankfully the guy was nice and understanding. He got me in contact with 7th St Storage , the woman was rude from the start. Her words “well, your first mistake was following someone into our lot”. She continued to tell me the mistakes I had made without letting me explain to her that I never followed anyone into the lot, I pulled in because the gate was open. She made me feel like an idiot for not knowing the process of picking up at that location. I went through the online process of confirming pick up two times. She told me to come into the building to get my paper work, codes, keys. She continued telling me in person all the mistakes she thought I made without letting me explain the process I had already gone though. After getting all the codes for the lot and codes for the box truck I was then giving her my credit card during my “No contact” UHaul pick up. $130 + gas for 4 hours, YEP I SAID 4 HOURS. My first hour was just spent being belittled face to face during my “no contact” pick up. It was an awful experience and a waste of my time and money, I'll never use Uhaul again.


Easy pick up and drop off. It was nice to have plenty of room for my car to be parked, and it was safe and secure.

The mask policy was VERY loose at the location. The service was wonderful and the people were fantastic but it was very unnerving to be in a closed office with nobody wearing masks/only partially wearing masks. If this is indicative of the overall cleanliness policies during a pandemic I'm not impressed. Would love to see it more strict because the people were AWESOME.

The location is both a UHaul rental and storage facility. I was using the UHaul app for checkin which wasn't easy to use at all and should have just gone into desk. I lovely woman saw me having challenges and came and offered me help in locating my truck. She was so helpful as the trucks are in the back lot of the facility. She helped me get to the truck and showed me how to find my keys and get out with the key code which for some reason using the app was provided very early in the process. She took me through the storage area and I was very impressed by it and how clean and convenient the lockers were. I highly recommend this facility!

I was trapped in the UHaul lot for 30 minutes because the app had a glitch or something and I had no keys, plus the barbed wire fence locked me in so I couldn't even walk out to find an employee to help me. I called your 800# for help, and even though it was 1:45 pm in a Wednesday, I was on hold endlessly. My son was waiting for me and he was concerned! He finally found the local ph # for me and I was able to get help. The glitch seemed to happen when I dropped the van off as well. It would take me so far, then tell me I had no service/ endlessly looping. Thank goodness the people in the local office who helped me (eventually) must have foreseen more issues with the return, and they had told me I could park in a different lot (without barbed wire and gate). I tried to use the app at drop off anyway, but when it started looping, I just dropped the key in the Dropbox. It REALLY makes me hesitate to use UHaul again.

Storage facility employees were great, the issue was with the mobile application; it was awful. We had to wait 2 hours to get our truck even though it was scheduled and checked in a week and 1/2 before our move date. Very disappointed in U-Haul.

had a rental at 6pm. even though it's a 24 hour rental, and I said I'd need it only 6 hours, haul policy made it clear that I'd be charged it I keto the truck at all past midnight, even if no one else was eating on it. just plain rude. next time, I'll need to add quite few hour hours to the end to be sure, or just maybe just claim all 24 hours, just to be sure. which is equally rude, no? The information regarding picking up a truck and returning a truck was utterly horrible. While I was arriving at the address ... I saw no trucks whatsoever. another woman was returning her truck but could not find where to leave it, so she parked it out in the front at the correct address for the business. when I later read thru my disclaimer ... I saw that if someone doesn't park the truck in the hidden location, then they will get charged for having a human check in the truck. I drive around looking in the evening for where this hidden/unknown entrance would be and found it. the web app is confusing and easily misunderstood. had no idea what it was trying to say... and I had to drive around to find the references in it's map. luckily took screen shots for later use, as those screens were not repeated. the gate keys are not sent in a manner for someone to use. it's on a web page which vanishes after going to the next screen. I was unable to exit the compound. no one answered the ringer at the gate for me to leave. luckily I had a screenshot of the first gate key to enter the compound, and it worked for exiting.
