Didn’t have the truck that I reserved. Was upgraded to a 15 foot truck for the $19.95. Took a long time to get the truck. The lady who helped me was nice and friendly. Wasn’t the lady’s fault for not having the truck I reserved. Don’t understand the fact that when I wanted to drop the truck off at another location the prices went up to over $100.00.

Young man hooked up the car hauler, completed a "safety inspection" but did not pay any attention. I even stated the left blinker was not working and he acted as if he did not hear what I was saying.

Even though there was a miscommunications somewhere at the point of sale to where I had some complications... the store manager had shown the utmost pride in her Integrity for her profession they showing me above and beyond customer service. She had actually gave two Hoots about my issues let alone making sure that my problems were not just heard. .... but were resolved not in a week, not in a couple days, but in the same day! I can't speak for the other U-Haul locations, but I can sure as heck vouch or feel more than comfortable to recommend a loved one to this location and know that they would be taken care of in a heartbeat from every aspect because of the store manager of the specific location is the definition of customer service and satisfaction!

I feel the main U-Haul site is deceptive in that apparently reservations made on the site are contingent "on availability". While this may be noted on the site in small type, in today's internet age reservations made on the site are assumed to be true, The folks at the local U-Haul center worked with me, but there was a great deal of angst on my part for an hour or so.

Via phone, I rented a 10ft box truck with an auto transport trailer and was assured it would be ready upon arrival. I even completed the "quick" check in process online. Upon arrival I was given a pickup and told its against uhaul policy to rent out box trucks with AT's because I might take it cross country. No one contacted me before I arrived. The acting supervisor was unappoligetic and didnt feel he needed to contact me. He offered a ridiculous "one way" idea for a local need? Not only would this have cost me much more, it wouldnt work for me logistically over the weekend. He was confrontational and not willing to accomadate my needs. I ended up having to use the pickup. The acting supervisor needs to be educated re. customer service! Talking to me like he's reading from a script and giving me a ridiculous explanation was unacceptable. He should have allowed my original rental and take up any "uhaul" policies issues with his fellow employee who set up my original rental. Dont let their possible mistake affect what I was promised. I would have gone elsewhere had I known. The pickup smelled like smoke even though the check out employee said he cleaned it. During the return, the assitant to finish the rental was outstanding. He knew how to do his job and was very effecient.

The lot was very crowded. The man who came up to help us unhook the trailer was very unfriendly and sharp. He later apologized saying he had a migraine headache. It seemed everyone outside working was very stressed.

We did not return the blankets because we are storing everything we transported and it was all still wrapped--the woman checking us in made quite the issue of this and despite the fact we said that we would be returning ALL of the blankets as soon as we purchased a home, she repeated that we would be charged by the day for all of them--we asked how much that would be and she did not give us a figure. We asked how much it would be to purchase the blankets and she did not give us a figure. We told her we could not unpack our storage locker and unwrap everything until we move into a home which could be up to six months away. After several back and forths, a manager (?) said we could just keep them. We don't want to keep them and intend to return all of them when we unpack and would have been more than happy to pay.

My only complaint is that whenever I rent a vehicle from U-Haul, the interior always seems to reek of cigarette smoke. Do you have a "no smoking" policy for renting your trucks ? Perhaps it's something to consider.

I called to ask about extending and was told that it would be $20 /day (it was actually $40 and there was no reference to the additional insurance). Very dissatisfied with U-Haul and probably will not use them again. I had issues with this facility giving me pricing and charging me $15 more a month than I agreed when I rented a storage unit 6 years ago as well. When I called the manager to discuss it, he did not seem to care that his employees lied and was very unprofessional.
